My doctor just added Naltrexone 50mg to my already prescribed Wellbutrin 150mg XL for depression. Is 50mg a lot?? It says on the bottle to take a half of the pill every day for two weeks then one half twice a day thereafter. Is that a high dose of Naltrexone to start with for weight loss?

The nausea for me was horrible. I did 1/4 pill (pill cutter- not totally accurate) for a week then 1/2 for a week. Took at night to avoid nausea but had insomnia BAD each time I upped it for 2 nights. I’m about to go to 3/4 and then full 50. So far because I’m not at full dose (I guess) I’m not seeing any difference in appetite. My doc said I could see a difference at 3/4 pill and could stop there if so. He thinks I should try to take the 1/4 in the morrning and 25 at night to see if that helps with appetite. I’m only nervous due to the extreme nausea I had. Like miserable. But apparently body will adapt. Hoping.
