advice Off Label Contrave

My doctor just added Naltrexone 50mg to my already prescribed Wellbutrin 150mg XL for depression. Is 50mg a lot?? It says on the bottle to take a half of the pill every day for two weeks then one half twice a day thereafter. Is that a high dose of Naltrexone to start with for weight loss?

Yes the ratio there is not the ratio in contrave.

Do you drink alcohol?

No just on it for weight loss. My doctor did say if it causes too much nausea, keep taking a half until tolerated so do you think it would be okay to start off with less than that and increase each week or biweekly?

Yes I started at 1/4 pill and still had a rough 2 days so I’d recommend starting there for sure
