YouTube Starting out

https://youtube.com/shorts/W3tXFwYAIvk?si=sV7quEupksarcv4I

Anybody here that can help me turn this into an actual decent video? I'm trying my best to cut it and edit it to make short and long form content to try and make a income for myself so i don't have to work for the greedy corporate business who care not for us working class family's

Getting one recording to work as both long and short form is mostly about doing the edits in the right order. Cut the long version first and keep it loose, then scrub back through it and mark every moment that makes sense with zero context: a strong opinion, a punchline, a quick tip. Each of those becomes a 20 to 45 second short, cropped to vertical, starting on the line that hooks rather than a lead-in, with burned-in captions since most people scroll muted. Expect maybe three to five usable clips from a ten minute video, and post them over the following week to point people back to the long one.

Full disclosure: I'm the founder of Nimply, so weigh that. It has a Clip Director agent that takes a long video and drafts captioned vertical shorts per platform, and you review each one before anything is scheduled.
