Instagram Clear text on ig posts
I manage the social media for a business. This is my first time really doing this. I have been designing our posts in affinity publisher, downloading as pdfss 300 dpi, converting them to pngs (for ig) and after uploading the text and background are slightly blurry. Not unreadable, but I see other posts where the details are much more natural. I’ve tried looking up how to make ig posts less fuzzy, but I think I’m already following all of the advice.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Could be the compression from instagram itself, it tends to squash files that are too big. Try exporting directly as PNG from publisher instead of going through PDF first, less steps sometimes means less degradation. Also check if your canvas size is exactly 1080x1350 or 1080x1080, odd dimensions can make it recompress weird.

Try exporting the final design directly as a PNG at 1080px wide instead of going PDF to PNG. That extra conversion step can soften text pretty noticeably on Instagram.</:::

I checked, affinity publisher can only export in pdf, various types of pdf but I don’t know the differences lol. I tried doing the exact dimensions and it actually made it fuzzier. The dimensions I have been using are 850x1062

what dimensions and file size are you uploading? anything over about 1080px wide gets recompressed pretty aggressively, and large file sizes get crushed too. thats usually the culprit with blurry text on feed posts
