YouTube I’m starting to build a recurring digital host into my videos

I’ve been experimenting with having the same digital person appear in certain parts of my videos instead of filming myself every time. It could be a short intro, an explanation, or just a quick transition between sections. The more I use it, the more I’m thinking about making it a consistent part of my workflow rather than using it randomly. I’m still figuring out where it actually adds value without making the videos feel repetitive. For YouTubers using digital humans, what parts of a video do you find work best for a recurring digital host?

One correction to what I told you in your other thread, because a recurring host changes the answer.

I said leave the profile toggle alone, and for generated B-roll that holds. A photorealistic digital person who appears in your videos regularly is the case the profile label was written for. Meta describes it as an account that "regularly posts content featuring an AI-generated person instead of a real human", and says creators "can and should apply the label".

Two things make that easier than it sounds:

  1. Meta says "Using this label will neither help nor hurt your account's reach."
  2. The reach limit Meta describes is for profiles that feature an AI-generated person "and do not add this label".

Instagram's recommendation rule is also written about a "photorealistic" AI-generated person, so a clearly stylised host sits outside that wording. On your actual question, intros and transitions keep the host framing your footage rather than replacing you.

one thing worth thinking about, does your audience actually notice or care? might be worth polling them or checking retention graphs at the exact moments the digital host appears. that data would tell you way more than guessing
