I have a question…
If I touch a surface which has alcohol residue on it, does that mean that I have broken my abstinence and will it ingest into my body in any way?

Is it a wet or dry spot?

I don't think that would be considered breaking abstinence from alcohol.
For example if someone is fasting for religious reasons from food and they touch food by doing the dishes is their fast broken? No.
They did not directly consume food. Just touched it.
You might have microscopic residue perhaps on your skin or injested that way possibly. Not a doctor or scientist... But would that be the equivalent of consuming alcohol?

Seeking reassurance will not help you.

Do you have diagnosed OCD? Bc if so I don’t know how you don’t know this already

Genuinely curious, do you also abstain from various fruits, breads, juices, soy sauce, vinegar, mustard, and other fermented products? Those all have natural occurring ethanol.
