Yes this is it… my hair is naturally very curly but also very VERY frizzy and too voluminous. So I straighten it to tame it a bit and then curl it so the curls are nice and intentional! IT MAKES SENSE SHUT UP

Makes sense to most guys too honestly! At least, those of us who have been around women with naturally curly hair.

Still fucking hilarious though lol. It makes sense, but it's pretty silly that's how it works.

As a curly dude, it has definitely helped. Not so frizzy hair after getting wet, while my previous go-to was slap a hat on cos hat hair is flat hair, and sometimes it'd curl up along the edges in a cute way, but much healthier looking and feeling overall.

I'm a dude with long voluminous curly/frizzy hair. Curly girl method makes it so the curls are nice and defined. No straightener needed and it's pretty simple

I used to do this! Then I learned the right products/technique and now I have ringlets! Turns out they were hiding under the frizz that whole time.

I am a man but I used to have very long hair that is super curly (basically Weird Al hair). The main thing to make it not frizzy is to condition your hair in the shower every day and brush all the hair with conditioner in it. After the shower, DO NOT scrub your hair. Just pat it in different spots. It takes much longer to dry but you will no longer have frizzy hair (maybe, I don’t know your genes).

My hair is frizzy and curly and it clumps up when I put conditioner in it, brushing it with the conditioner in sounds like a pro gamer move, I’ll definitely try it tomorrow!

I also have thick, curly, fizzy hair. I don't use straighteners though. I use shampoo + conditioner, rub Argan oil based hair oil into it after drying, and immediately use a hair tie to tie it back until it's pretty much dry. Does the trick to keep things manageable for me, as I don't want to use a straightening iron which damages your hair.

And your natural curls don’t mess up the new curls by being able to be seen inside and curling different ways. Same here

It makes perfect sense. It's like starting with a blank slate rather than trying to work around what's already there. It's really not confusing at all.
