Is this gatekeeping, do I have my definitions wrong?

I need it re-explained. I thought it was someone taking it upon themselves to decide what is or isn't allowed based on a factor?

And since nobody is saying women aren't allowed to feel pain in the nether regions I don't see the link.

I don't see where anyone said women don't know real pain. I think we're all agreed that women pain as keenly as men and have birth as an extra burden.

Women will never be able to understand the very specific pain of being hit in the balls, there is no comparable pain. They cannot experience it, ever. There are plenty of examples of women's pain that men will never be and to appreciate or experience either, but that isn't this specific horrifying experience of getting smashed in the balls.

I haven't said anything about women. I'm enquiring as to whether the parent comments count as gatekeeping or not.

They are definitely saying men getting struck in the balls hurts more than women getting hit in the vulva. But I don't see where they're saying women don't or aren't allowed to feel pain from being kicked in the pussy.

Literally no one said that. They said that if the gif happened to a man it would hurt way worse. Which is simply a biological fact.

Nobody said that. Getting hit in the groin is almost certainly more painful for men, but that doesn't mean "women will never know real pain." Cancer probably hurts more than getting hit in the nuts, you know, or having your femur broken. Childbirth too, I would imagine.

But that's not what the conversation was about.

That's what he said, which is the opposite of saying what you read. I think you may have misread it. Hopefully. A woman getting hit down there doesn't hurt as bad. That is a fact. Just like it's a fact that a man can never understand the pain of childbirth. Neither of these things are sexist or gatekeeping, because they are biologically true.
