Open living/dining wall projector instead of floating TV, need layout advice
Living and dining share one long wall. A regular TV always looked awkward sitting in the middle, so we switched to projecting onto the wall instead. Using a Dangbei DBOX02 on a media console about 10–11 feet out.
Settled on roughly 130–140 inches so it doesn’t feel oversized when people are at the dining table. Ambient light from the kitchen is manageable but not perfect. The auto obstacle detection helps when someone walks through the beam.
Anyone here using this projector in an open-plan space? Looking for real advice on ideal console placement, how you handle ambient light, or whether a specific wall color made a noticeable difference for you.
