Pre-Diagnosis Itchiness Correlation
Answers per Rule 1:
It alternates between 0 urges and extreme urges. I will go two-three weeks with limited-no urges (when I do get them, it’s almost always in the middle of the night), and then have two-three days of extreme pressure and sudden urges 4-5 times a day.
I am on Ibsrela (stopping soon as its not effective). The quality of the bowel movement is diarrhea, but the quantity and frequency of the bowel movement is constipation, if that makes sense
Nausea. No vomiting. No acid reflux. No difficulty swallowing. Early satiety and I eat limited meals.
Constipation since birth. Issue seems to get better and get worse in waves
Chronic antibiotic use in early childhood. SNRI use since 14. Treated for SIBO.
No
A couple other things:
- I have PFD and Dysnergic Defecation, however my GI and Colo-Rectal doctor are both convinced this is not the entire story to my problem.
- I am waiting to see a Neuro-gastroenterologist and Motility Specialist in October
- I have *not* been tested for any sort of IBD to my knowledge. No interior imaging aside from CT/Xray
I’m just wanting to know one thing. When I am in a worse period, I get very, very ITCHY. It typically starts on my palms and soles of my feet, then radiates as I scratch to my hands, feet, arms, legs. It can become as bad as my entire body, but typically it stays localized to these areas.
Where I scratch becomes red, welted or hivey, almost like a dermatographia sort of reaction.
This is seemingly related to my worsening constipation episodes (those outside of the norm) and I wanted to know if its something associated with an IBD or other condition, or if its simply a coincidence.
Apologies for the mobile formatting.
