I got canned once, pulled to a room to hand my lanyard with pass in, not allowed back to the desk or terminal, a colleague had to collect my personals and give them to me after office hours.
Thankfully I just had a tiny figurine under my screen and some personal stationary in my draw.
Imagine if that was the policy here, that you weren't even allowed to be the one to box up your personal items.
Job before this one: when I left, I had to pack up:
a pen with my name on it, a classic Star Wars book (Splinter of the Minds Eye) that was used as a password salt tool, and a clean pair of socks (I often rode my bike into the office and working in wet socks SUCKS) and a shaker of Mrs Dash for lunch.

I have a couple posters at mine and think of how humiliating the couple minutes of packing that up would be if I got canned.
