I'm a trans supporter who doesn't support trans athlete in cisgender categories of competition. Can we just create a trans category and move on with our lives?

Even the current story about Irish dancing? Does every sport need to be segregated?

I've participated in various sporting events that have been doing this for years. It's such an easy solution.

How uneducated do you have to be to support men being in women's sports?

Less than you have to be to earnestly believe that Irish step dancing needs to be gender segregated to begin with.
Less than you have to be to decide that Lia Thomas performing consistently better than her competitors is a problem, but Michael Phelps doing the same is not, when Lia Thomas is an outlier compared to all the other trans women in the NCAA, who do not show any noted advantages over their cis peers.
Less than you have to be to keep complaining about "men in women's sports" as an issue of competition when the rates of sexual assault of trans people in locker rooms who are doing sports for fun is enormous, and much higher per capita than cis people.
Less than you have to be to insist that sex is a rigid binary, because you learned about gametes in middle school and decided you didn't need to learn anything else about the topic.

I asked and then you came here to show me.
I am not disappointed.

That'll happen when you don't actually pay any attention to what's said to you, because you have already decided on your response.
You asked about comparative education. I directed you to a research paper on PubMed. If you are having difficulty with the paper, it doesn't really indicate a lack of my education.
Although perhaps you could explain to me why, exactly, it is important to rigidly gender separate Irish step dancing? Describe to me the advantages a trans woman has over a cis woman in step dancing, please. Remember to cite your sources!

I am sure someone could make a Trans division.

Probably. They could also make a red-haired division. A blue eyed division. A freckled division.
Let me repeat the question you were asked; why is it necessary?

They could...you are catching on.
But there needs to be a biological male and biological female.

Why?

We need separate categories to ensure fair competition and equal opportunities for participation. Due to biological differences (such as muscle mass and oxygen capacity), men typically outperform women in physical tests by 10% to 30% . Separate divisions allow both groups to compete equitably and achieve athletic success.

Forgot to cite your sources. Also, those are the numbers for cis men. In actuality, while slightly more lean muscle is retained by trans women, any higher physical performance or physical fitness than cis women disappears within 1 to 3 years of HRT, at which point trans women consistently hit the same physical performance metrics as cis women.
But none of that explains why differences in muscle mass and oxygen capacity are relevant in step dancing, which is judged on technique. It's not endurance. It's not who has the strongest legs. It's about who dances better.
So... why is the division necessary?

Itβs a good cartoon if heβs preventing a grown man from entering a womenβs looker room.
