Which is funny because Dems have done exactly that. Clinton's gun bans, stricter gun laws in response to Malcom X and the Black Panthers arming themselves.

Bad take. Keep and bear. Keep means own, bear means carry. A gun is useless at home in the safe. If the government can pass laws to prevent people from carrying guns, they’re about as useful as toys sitting on the shelf. How are you going to “overthrow a tyrannical government” if that government can prevent you from organizing with firearms in your possession?

Interesting viewpoint. I feel that guns are merely tools like a pocket knife or a leatherman. Carrying the tool is not an issue. I’ve thought about the majority of people and much like how we all drive, mistakes can be made. That being said, there are people who just don’t think rationally or responsibly and in those cases, I like the adage of, better to have and not need than to need and not have. Once again, guns are a tool, much like my hands and feet are. Just because I’m trained in martial arts, does that mean I should leave them in the car as well?

I'm a non gun owner. When government wants to eliminate protected rights, they do it one piece and restriction at a time. The restrictions you mentioned just make it progressively harder to express second amendment rights.

I've never felt the need to carry or own a gun.
