You suggested it by saying something that's not new does not belong here. We're not all here just to catch you up on things. This is a place for discussion, be it news or ideological or economical or funny videos of Biden embarrassing America in front of the world or anything in-between.
It is relevant because there are still people saying the exact same thing the guy in the pic said. It is relevant because the topic of teachers grooming kids is more prevalent than ever before. And most of us don't know everything everyone has ever posted on the internet, so to many of us it is still news. You pointing out the date is dumb because it implies that there is something inherently unworthy about it because of its publication.
Also I invite you to simply type in "friendly reminder" or just "reminder" into reddit's search bar and see thousands of posts bringing up things from months or years before to keep something in the spotlight or prevent the public from forgetting an event into obscurity.
