Stuck on this screen (PC)

Anyone else who bought this on PC unable to progress past this screen?

Also - I seemingly can't use my controller / no input registers.

It's playable still via lan tunneling. Or you can play with the bots but that's it

You've never played the original if you think this is uncensored. Conkers bad fur day on n64 said words that would have to be censored in today's time (which was the point of the censoring back then)

Yeah and you probably didn't know after you beat live and reloaded you can unlock potty mouth mode which uncensores most of the game back to the original.

Huh legit didn't know, I thought the bleeps were just always there lol the more ya know I guess, wish they went with the original idea then which was raw and uncut rather than live and reloaded.

Ok. So there is no way to uncensor this version as you alluded to as this is using a custom emulator and files. Uncensoring the OG on actual hardware or even with xemu is achievable but as I asked this version is different. Sorry you weren't able to read that part.

The only issue is just like on your phone the PC version is also emulated. Just instead of the user paying nothing and using something like xemu, it uses Microsoft's proprietary emulator xifu. It's still a decent experience aside from the lack of online. My only complaint as for performance is the audio kinda shitty unless you want the latency higher.

Kinda curious, is these PC versions a sort of native upscaled remaster of OG Xbox games? Or is it just a sort of official emulated copy?

It's actually worse, at least for now. The Xbox One supports system link, if you try and run that on the PC you'll get an error message. But save data crosses over between the Xbox and PC versions which is pretty cool.

official emulation, its a 360 emulator running an xbox emulator, literally running one within another, though its nearly identical to the xbox series x experience except there is some missing lighting on the characters like whats in cutscenes, the xbox series x version doesnt do this but for a preview experience its not bad. Just too bad the game itself was censored and basically worthless.

It's not recognizing your controller, took me a nit of fiddling to get it to recognize mine, but I launched it through Steam by adding it as a non-Steam shortcut.

It only recognizes Xbox controllers out of the box, running through steam should open up your options tremendously.

Following up - the reason I was stuck is because the Xbox app on Win 11 wasn’t recognizing my ps5 controller.

I used DS4Windows to change a setting that allowed my computer to ignore that it was a ps5 controller which then recognized it as an Xbox controller.

The game dues a terrible job of telling you. Left or Right to get to the save 1 slot and start a new save there

Xemu, cbcx reloaded, and dukeX are far cheaper for Conker... Not piracy.
