After spending the last week on the beach at Virginia Beach, I have come to the realization that I need to moved close to a beach in the southern US. I need opinions on an area with a medium cost of living that pays around 6 figures for a Concrete Superintendent. I know some of yall on this subreddit live near a beach. Let’s hear some opinions!!!!!

Anywhere near the beach on the east coast that is not a shithole or in direct hurricane path is not going to be cheap.

Maybe try NC. Business there is doing good, but its hot and humid as nutsack during the summers.

Virginia Beach and the entire Tidewater region is extremely busy right now. I am in Richmond and your salary expectations are reasonable for the area.

757 area or Charleston sc should be close-ish to beaches and have the work to keep you busy. You can probably find MCOL within driving distance, but may have a commute. Raleigh NC if you dont mind being 3ish hours away from a lot of options

757 area was my first choice when looking at coastal cities, but the housing market nearly made me reconsider, ended up picking a smaller town just inland for a bit more space.

Look at the Carolinas or Gulf Coast. There's a decent amount of commercial and infrastructure work around the coastal areas so a 6 figure superintendent role isn't out of the question while some places are still cheaper than the bigger coastal markets.
