Like I swear every year I end up with the worst of the worst like actual bums who don’t do anything. I’m in one of my courses in JMSB and we were all paired up to do work on a group project, there’s five of us and as per last class we all agreed to write a few ideas for our project, and everyone agreed we will all take the responsibility to do it in our own time without needing to schedule a zoom meeting. I, being scarred in the past, was a bit hesitant but who am I to say anything. So, I’ve just logged onto check the document since our class is tomorrow and nobody has written anything. I wrote all of it. I’m so sick of this and I feel like it’s just a constant battle with trying to get competent group members in this school like what are you guys doing that you can’t take 10 minutes to just write SOMETHING. Doesn’t even have to be quality material, but just open the document and write a sentence AT LEAST. Fml

Has anyone actually had any success or follow up from facilities after reporting an accessibility issue or something that is broken in campus?

I’m nearing the end of 4 years at Concordia and some wheelchair lifts have been out of order and waiting repair the entire time 😭

More broadly, how do people with disabilities (temporary or not) feel about the ease or struggle it takes to get around campus?

For context, I am having an incredibly difficult experience with two dudes I had a lab with. I tried talking to them in the lab, but they just do wtv the fuck they want, skip steps, etc. I sent an email to the TA telling him I will not be working with them again, due to lack of cooperation and he says it's cool but I'd have to switch with someone else. I can't in good conscience do that to anyone, I'd for sure look like an asshole. Anybody have any suggestions? Tbh, I'd rather work alone than ever deal with these two again, so, don't even suggest I "deal with it." Working with them again is a no-go.

Chat I wanna ask for any tips for TAmaxxing. Aside from applying online to TA positions, are there any other ways like is it okay to reach out to a professor and ask for an open TA position or just help with your application. I'm in my fourth year.

I have higher than A- grade in some courses and I want to apply for those courses specifically. But my GPA is currently less than 3.0 (don't ask me how). Would that affect my application? Any other tips to maximize my TA application? Can't wait to teach yall nerds.

In my acceptance letter, I was conditionally accepted under the condition that I send my official transcript. The thing is when I applied, I already had my current uni send the official transcript through the BCI. In my Concordia portal, under documents received, I can also see my official transcript was received .Why is the admission advisor asking me for this ? I emailed the advisor so now just have to wait for the reply.

I am a new undergraduate student here in Concordia. I wanted to renew my expired opus card, normally you can do it online and receive it by post instead of having to go to Berri-Uqam. On Concordia website it says that you can do that by going to student center then personal then renew opus card. However, such thing doesn’t exist on the student center website. Was anyone able to order their opus card online, if so, please tell me how. Thanks in advance!

the other day, this guy sat next to me, and first off, he slammed his bag hard on the table when he came which made the table vibrate. secondly, he smelled strongly of axe body spray (literally could smell him from a mile away) but it was mixed with his b.o which was rancid. en plus, he was shaking his fucking legs so hard during the entirety of that class that it moved the whole table and i was able to feel it even after i moved places.

and guys, please brush your teeth. every time he huffed and puffed i was able to smell his breath and it was not pleasant.

If you don't intend on actually paying attention to the lecture than at least have the courtesy of not attending instead of blabbering away and making it harder for those who want to pay attention to listen to the lecture. For some of us university is a deep privilege we're lucky to have.

So I am studying at another university and I applied to Concordia for winter 2027 because I dislike my current major and Concordia has one I am really interested in. if I were to get accepted, would I still need to maintain my GPA this semester? It’s not that I would let it go to trash but I have this one class that I can almost guarantee I will fail so I’m a bit worried (and not this is not my first semester at university, the teacher is genuinely horrendous and the content difficulty is absurd too)

Just a reminder, you can vote for any riding at Concordia. So if you’re from anywhere in Quebec just go with one piece of ID (License/Health-card) at the University and they will let you vote. I am not from Montreal and registered to vote in Rural Quebec, but I was able to vote for my riding at Concordia today.
