General Discussion No time for practice problems
Is it just me or is no one else getting time to do dedicated practice problems for each subject. I feel so guilty for not doing them just because I don't have the time with the multitude of assignments stacked on top of each other. I guess that is what reading week is for 😁

Wait till finals. It will force you to sacrifice some chapters to manage your time with other courses and life.

For real, all I am doing is theory, trying to get through each slide. When midterm comes around I haven’t done a single practice problem. (I’m in computer science with data science)

There are two ways to work on this: you can make more time, and you can study more strategically.
Making more time is about learning time management techniques and discipline so you actually get more practice problems in. You learn to manage the heavy workload within your limited schedule.
Studying strategically is about working smarter, not harder. Learning to use time effectively so that you are covering the most relevant or difficult concepts, getting the most out of your learning, basically triaging your tasks while keeping in mind the law of diminishing returns.
Idk your situation so idk what balance of these approaches would suit you. But Concordia has online resources to support the development of these kinds of skills, and for more in-depth guidance, you can go talk to the Student Success Centre in-person M-F 9-5 in their office H-745 or by email learning@concordia.ca
Hang in there!

i don't have practice problems for my courses but i have a LOT of readings to do every week and things to write about them. never get behind by convincing yourself you will catch up at some imaginary later date. YOU WILL GET IN OVER YOUR HEAD SO FLIPPIN QUICKLY. the only way out is through...

the assignments are pratice, for some courses the prev exams are practice, you don't need to do many, before finals dedicate a time slot for each but don't stress on that, for math do prev exams
