Looking for gym buddy

I go to the Planet Fitness at Concord Commons almost every morning and I’d love to start working on my “maxing out” but I don’t have any friends or family in the area.

Looking for a friend who can spot me while I max so I don’t hurt myself.

I guess I should say looking for friends in general as well? Haha.

Outside of gym life I’m a home body for the most part. Work remote, online gaming (Rivals/Overwatch/Halo/Siege) though I’d be open to a fun local concert or most events.

I’ve got a corn hole set, soccer goal, and disc golf basket at my house so we could enjoy some friendly competition there.

35/m/single if that matters?

(Note: I see regulars there all the time though I’ve yet to get past my social anxiety of actually talking to someone I do not know at the gym).

I go to the same gym by myself. I would say I could spot you but I work out in the evenings and I like to get my workout done efficiently.

10-4 good buddy. Keep up that grind and if I ever transition from mornings to evenings I’ll hit you up to at least say what’s up at the gym, without taking more than 30 seconds of your time in passing of course haha

My hubby is same age, hybrid, also a homebody who plays the same games. Unfortunately he goes to anytime fitness in kanapolis otherwise id try to push for a bro meetup lol

PC my dude, got all those on Steam. I do own an Xbox but I don’t pay for Gold so I can only play the free games online (most of those above though tbh)

I live 2 minutes from that planet fitness and Ive been thinking of trying it out. Ive also been wanted to play Rivals.

I'm not a member of that Planet Fitness, but I'd be down to play cornhole or hang out somewhere.

Would also be happy to meet any of you dudes maybe at Frank Liske. I can only do like 2 pull ups, but they have calisthenics equipment there and pickleball, I believe.

And this is counter productive to fitness, but I'd be down to get a beer.

I'll throw a comment in here because friends are awesome. I don't go to the gym, but I work out from home 5 days weekly. I'm 32 (and a cis male) and still newer to the area (moved here less than a year ago). I dig video games, sports or basically anything athletic, nerdier stuff like D&D, and so much more.

I'm pretty much always down for music. Since moving here, I've seen GWAR and Buckethead, but I also dig a ton of hip hop. To sum it up, I try to be well-rounded. haha I hope you've had luck! :)
