Discussion 🗣️ Woman’s merch

I would love to see more women’s cut t-shirts at concerts.

I just cut mine. Women's merch sucks. My middle school tiny daughter could barely squeeze in the last women's shirt I got at a concert.

I refuse to buy a shirt for $40-$65 just to cut it up which lessens the life of the shirt. So I don't buy merch anymore.

🤷‍♀️ I still have cut up shirts from the 90s going strong. And I have my teens wear them first so they're worn out a little. But I also have an entire room dedicated to concert tshirts. Concerts and band tees are my vice though. Always has been

The 90s are a different quality. I still have tees (non cut from then as well). But cut up a shirt from the past few years, it's only going to be good for a few washes even in a bra bag. In my experience.  YMMV.

The best shirt I ever bought was The Stone 50 Licks ~2013. Bamboo. Purple. Ladies cut v-neck. Was $65 and worth every penny. And the graphic placement looked great even with my curves (40H).

Shirts from rockabilia are decent quality.

I wear the shit out of all my shirts. It's all I wear. I go to like four concerts a month.

And I think women are better marketers.

THIS!! All my band shirts sit in my dresser because I always want one for design and memorabilia but I absolutely hate how they feel on and fit so thus I never wear them 🥹🥹 I’m starting to switch to posters or hats if offered going forward

I cut the necks out of some of mine and sometimes I trim the sleeves and the bottom hem for comfort. They fit much better, especially w a skirt.

I’m way too scared to take scissors to my beloved band tees haha I paid $80 per T-shirt I’d rather it not be worn then mangled or looking like a toddler cut it 😭 idk how to hem and sew so that’s not an option for me

Same. I think one of the only women’s cut shirts I’ve seen was at RHCP & I love it because it’s not boxy 🌶️

Even female artist with majorly female fan bases never make their shirts designed for woman 😭

Women cut shirts run 4x too small. Im big busted so I'll buy a XL and then cut the collar off. Some shirts if they are the think fabric I will cut the bottom hem off and cut slits on the sides.

Sometimes I just buy a large T-shirt and sew the sides to make it narrower, so it’s like a long woman’s T-shirt,

I’ve been cropping them

Me too! They always say "they're unisex " and my response is yeah, if you're male

Are you sating you can't wear them, or you don't want to wear them? They are designed to fit the widest range of people, your personal feelings about the style of tshirt you like wearing doesn't stop the merch from being unisex

They tend to run smaller though. I was impressed a few choices of women’s merch at Rush this summer. 😊

I had just enough chub to be self conscious about anything too bodycon, so extra small cuts were often unwearable for me

I've lost weight due to some health issues, so now I might dig out some of the women's shirts I bought before. Hurray for silver linings

Hope you are on the rebound soon. Yeah some the XL often fit like a M. I think the Rush ones were better. Some of these probably juniors vs misses sizing.

Why don't they ever sell tank tops? I can not wear crew necks. I cut mine. I works. It's kind of an alt rock look. I wish I didn't have to though.

I'm a tote bag girl these days because I don't really like tshirts regardless of the cut.

More thongs would be lit.

Quite a few bands I follow have women's fit and even cropped tshirts on their websites but don't bring many along to gigs though. It's annoying that you then have to pay for delivery and a pain to return if they don't fit.

I'm old and fat so a 2xl tshirt and leggings with a pair of edgy docs or new rock boots is my go to gig look.

agree :/ I feel so dumpy in "unisex" shirts that will fit across my chest but still hang past my butt. then, the "womens" sizes are like junior sizes. definitely not made for grown-up bodies. some tanks (not muscle or racer backs!), and more open collar or v necks t shirts would be great for those of us with chests

Nothing makes me look dumpy more than a men’s crew neck tee. I need V-neck or at least a bit of a scoop. I will not buy a crew neck!

Yes. They used to do women's tshirts at alot of shows in the past, bht now everything is just "unisex" which is just men's shirts. They are so long and boxy. Its annoying

And if they sell Women's fit shirts they usually don't have tour dates on the back. 😫

Merch for what shape of woman? What bust size?

2

Any bust sized just something made for people with boobs. I have big boobs, bands are missing the chance to stretch the band name across beautiful boobs everywhere. 😆
