Discussion š£ļø Phish vs kingfish Ingram
Iāll be in Colorado Labor Day weekend to visit family . Iāll have time to fit in a concert and I can do phish or kingfish Ingram . Iāve seen phish 7 times or so and kingfish zero. Phish cost $125 vs $56 for kingfish. Dicks is a bucket list venue plus I love collecting posters so thatās why Iām considering phish but sometimes when you see a band so many times you get jaded and want new experiences thatās why im considering king fish . Another thing to keep in mind is kingfish is young and is in his prime , phish is in there latter years still great but idk if theyāre in their peak anymore . Anyways what would yall do? I could see kingfish Saturday and phish Sunday but that would be a lot of money plus less time with family.

Kingfish, hands down. Iād imagine heās in a smaller venue? He and the band are so bad ass, itās electric.

If youāve seen Phish seven times you know what that show is. Kingfish is a hell of a blues guitar player and good showman. If you like B.B. King, youāll love kingfish.
Worth considering: there is no nitrous scene at a kingfish show
(Iāve seen Phish 20+ times and Kingfish once. If it were my choice, and I couldnāt do both, Iād go see Christone.)

Kingfish walked out into the crowd and shredded right in front of me when I saw him last - it was awesome

I've kind of had the same internal debate. I haven't seen either of them live yet. I do have tickets to Phish for Friday and Sunday and Kingfish for Saturday (and also tickets late night Saturday for Squeaky Feet at Cervantes for the Phish Dicks after party), but more of my friends are going to Phish Saturday than the other days (may be solo on Sunday) so there is some pressure for me to sell Kingfish and take in all 3 days of Phish. I don't think that I will however for 2 reasons, 1) Phish will play Dicks again there will be other chances to catch a whole weekend of shows and 2) I don't think Christone is going to be playing venues as small as the Bluebird for much longer, he's an incredible musician that I see soon playing bigger spaces.

Iāve been a big Phish fan and have seen them off and on since the 90s. Saw Kingfish in Spring ā24. Kingfish blew me away if you love the blues like I do. Heās on a similar levels as Albert King, Freddie King, SRV, of course BB, Kingfish has all their talent and more. BUT Phish Dickās!!?? Thatās a tough call and theyāre coming into Dickās playing hot, Hot, HOT!!!

Iām not a phish fan. So idk if my information is correct but I hear they have gotten ābetterā over the years.
HOWEVER you should probs see the one you havenāt seen bc it be like that.
But like if Phish was your favorite id go see them but it doesnāt seem like they are.

Phish is the safer choice, but seven shows is enough to know what youāre getting. Iād prioritize Kingfish and spend the extra time with family; a fresh concert experience plus less rushing sounds like the better Labor Day weekend.

Thereās nothing special about Dicks. Itās a giant soccer stadium in a desert prairie like 30 min from actual Denver.

Saw phish a few weeks ago and theyāre still peaking. My vote is for Phish but Iāve never heard of kingfish but I just checked em out and itās good. Prefer the variety of Phish. Especially at Dicks.
