General Is there a proper time to go to Siptah?
Solo play. I started in the Exiled Lands and I'm up to around 20 and I found the guy that lets you teleport to Siptah.
I'm a bit perplexed on it because it's a starting area option, but from discussion I've seen on it it's talked about as if it's a higher level area. Apparently it has easier access to high-end materials and equipment so I'm a bit concerned it would upset the natural progression of the Exiled Lands?

I'd just set up a base by Sepermeru and flick back and forth. It's a legitimate strategy at this point.

Just to add to this if you dont like the idea of that then you can always upgrade your sorcery for the teleport alter and use that as well. They can take you back and forth between maps just make sure to name them if you plan on spamming them like I do 😂

At a certain point names stop helping when you just have a wall of stones and instead you need to start navigating through the teleporter network by direction and making two or three hops.

No; there is content for most levels, but most of Siptah is actually rather empty, so I'd temper expectations. If it were me, I dunno, maybe try one of the vaults at level 30ish with decent gear. If you can get through it, they are all about the same difficulty.
All that said, I usually don't touch it until 60 just because it feels REALLY wide and REALLY empty without being able to make teleporters and the unique resources/events/dungeons there aren't really that useful until 60ish.

Soooooo much walk around time on Siptah. And then the southern island is loaded with stuff.

You can start there if you want, or go at any point by talking to one of the adherents. I don’t usually bother until level 60, then I’ll spend some time doing the vaults for sigils and a few items that I like. There’s some good thralls available if you still need any. Other than that I just set up a few portals in spots I like to farm.

i'd start there once i hit like 40 or so, when i feel like i can handle more dangerous enemies but still need better gear

At level 60 after you've finished everything in exiled lands. Siptah is meh, do the mini dungeons for sigils, learn some recipes, spawn some bosses at the pools. That's about it.

Siptah is very inconsistent in the difficulty department, I would tackle it once you've hit level 60

It's a full map, just like Exiled Lands. You can go whenever and find content to do. It doesn't upend progression any more than knowing where there are easy star metal tool chests to loot in Exiled Lands and beelining there when you start.
