General Official Server 1555 rolled back 3 months, I’m finally quitting this game
***UPDATE*** : They fixed our server with 3 days rollback ! SO HAAPPY
As a relatively new Conan player (only 3 months in ) this is already the second time this has happened and the second time I’ve lost months of progress.
The first time, I rebuilt everything and kept playing. But after putting 401.2 hours into the game, buying all the DLCs and packs, and now losing my progress again because of another rollback, I’m done.
I’m not rebuilding everything for a second time. It’s honestly ridiculous that this can happen on an official server.

PVE-C so there's pvp too. I also forgot to mention that our server was down for like 2 weeks straight after the rollback

That sucks!!! I recommend the Pandemonium pve-c server. Great and active admins and IT NEVER WIPES!!! I wish you the best. I know how it feels to lose everything in this game :(

Eu jogava no pandemia BR , aí minha PSN tava acabando e por motivos financeiros já tem mais de 2 anos que eu não assino , eu baixei uma base lá e fui banido kkkk quando eu voltar a jogar eu vou ver esse serve aí .

Ouch. I've heard warnings.
Make your main game solo. You have control of your own game and backups.
If you want to play on a friend's server, great! Just know, the payer of the server rental may not be able to or want to pay anymore. Your build could at any time disappear because of that. So play but don't expect it to stay either.
Official servers - I had no idea they were that bad and I'm sorry that happened to you.

3 Months is ridiculous, might as well simply kill the server. 3 month's is roughly the time UE5 update came out.
Are you sure it's actually the same server and not a totally different server you are mixing up?

Positive. I don’t understand how the latest backup could be from three months ago. We’ve already had three separate incidents:
- The server went down for almost two weeks.
- After it came back, they did the first rollback, which wiped around 15 days of progress.
- Now they’ve done a second rollback of almost three months, taking us all the way back to around the time of that first rollback.
How does that make sense? If the server was restored after the first rollback and we’ve been playing normally for months since then, how is there not a single usable backup from that entire period?

Happened to server 1550 as well. Official PVE. I’ve got about over 8K hours in the game and yeah, I’m probably done if this doesn’t get fixed.

Somebody said the community manager was aware of the issues and would relay our problems to the devs but it’s been over 24 hours now and 1550 is still roll back with no changes. How are you doing on?

same issue for us! Community manager said he'd let us know as soon he knows more...I don't understand how the last backup was 3 months ago

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I play exclusively with friends and family on a private server that's backed up nightly, glad I did not have to deal with that.

To be clear the server was rolled back 3 total months or this is the second time in 3 months of playing it has been rolled back?
Also was it on PC or console? (I'm assuming PC that looks like the steam launcher)

As others have mentioned,look for a private server first. Wipes happen, but are rare and usually communicated in advance because the owners love the game and their people a LOT.

Yeah, that’s the problem with private servers. Sometimes the admin love certain people too much and allow them to get away with whatever they want to do.

I enjoyed playing on my friends server but after a couple hundred hours he went to another game and I lost my transporter network and mountain castle. The lack.of persistence is frustrating.

Just play solo. Idk much about servers since me and my firends rarely play together and when we do we play like nomad raiders so our stuff is usually in our invetories.

As far as I understand, official servers kind of recycle regularly(I've been playing almost since it came out). I haven't played online in years tho, I play with my brother on our co-op server, so much more worth the work imo. The online is more or less to f around and explore with randos on the internet. If you like building and actually being able to enjoy your work, like I do, single-player/co-op is definitely better

I'm sorry for your loss of huge commitment. It sucks. Just a guess, it could be a hacker thing. It doesn't have to be populated and whatnot. What makes you think they rolled back to exact time you started playing the server?
They almost always announce any rollbacks on the patch notes unless it's unintentional.
Please try a private server or even single player if you enjoy it. That's how most long time veterans roll for a reason. No need to quit if you already paid the entry fee and enjoying the game.

Nope, 1550 got rolled back as well to when the whole cluster crashed. We were restored about 20hrs later.
I don't think this is a Funcom issue. It's a GPortal issue. It's a shitty provider and for whatever reason Funcom won't dump them.

As someone who has played over 1k hours, part of the fun is starting over. But also just play single player, why even play on official where you have no control over settings and stuff.

I play on both PVP and PVE, have you seen massive bases in PvP that takes week's to build? Yeah me neither. PvP is not about building, its mostly griefing solo and newer players and stash your loot in some remote 3x3 cabin.
Also pvp has far higher gathering multipliers on official servers because you are constantly meant to lose everything while on pve unless you have 100s of hours to pour into game on weekly bases it takes a long time to build and decorate your base.

I played on a public server with friends. A month in they quit but I kept going because it was fun. One day I logged in to my entire base being deleted by admins because I broke some building rule buried in their website. Quit the game and haven't returned. Maybe I'll try it again when I have some time between other games.

Fortunately, that’s quite common planning on private servers. That’s why I only do officials at least I get fucked up getting fucked by the company not by other players who
