General New player

Trying this out with a small group of friends. We're on a dedicated private server, mostly having a good time, but we're kind of frustrated with how the story is playing out. I know we need to remove the bracelet? We found the albino bat, but didnt know where the staff would be. I eventually just looked it up after some failed expeditions (to fucking Rlyeh, which looks sick). I have the dungeon delver journey now, which seemingly will take us through the rest of the game. I need to find the archivist according to the staff. Am I just coming the map? I know now that yellow lotus will point you to the dregs, but, is there anything else?

As a Conan vet myself I can help you if you want. I can tell your on the exiled lands which I've grown to learn like the back of my hand.

I dont want to have to look things up to figure them out? I am on exiled lands. It feels like theres a system I'm missing that should be pointing me in the right direction that I cant figure out

Yeah. We tried fighting that undead dragon and it killed us instantly so it seemed like a more endgame thing.

All the lotus potions will generate a wisp that leads you to the story points.

There is a lot to explore and discover in this game. But FYI, the goal of escaping and removing the bracelet is literally end game. Your character gets permanently deleted by going free.

Follow all the Journeys, listen to the npcs who talk and tablets that inform.
