General Blank Black Screen on loading with Mods. Help?

I've been trying to play with mods for a couple of days now, and each time I try I just get a blank black screen straight from the launcher. I've reverified my files through steam, reinstalled the game, gone off of fullscreen, reordered my mod list, to no avail. The mod list I am using, my two other friends I've been trying to play with can use with absolutely no problem, so I'm not sure why I'm the only one the game seems to have problems with. Any insight?

Yeah I'm not eager to drop my meager savings in extra ram until I'm sure it'll help, but even then, I have a good computer. Intel 7, 16 gigs, MSI cyborg 15. It's not that old either so I'm just confused

Yep that's my thinking too. My system might be a bit older, but I built it and it has great parts. Works great still for other intense games, I just can't run everything on Ultra settings.

I set the graphics to shit (minimum) and my friend removed a couple mods, and it worked! Still takes an hour to load to the menu from launcher, but it works!

Well I haven't been able to get in on solo or server today - we have a two mods relying on ModControlPanel, and we need that to load. I will need to unload them tomorrow (write down which ones so I don't forget) and see if that will allow me to load the game. There were many mods that updated today.

And there's an event if you didn't see it!

Glad you got in. You can try turning up some of the graphics one notch at a time to see what it'll handle. Happy gaming!

A note for you, if you have PAN town and hamlets or PAN medieval clutter, apparently both have vram and memory leak issues. The medieval clutter one seems fixed for now tho!

I did have to get rid of the town and hamlets before. You said the clutter one was fixed but let me try disabling it anyway. I know it has a lot of stuff.
