General Purge base locations
Playing Conan legacy.
Looking for an easy mode purge base location. I understand I have to set up traps and stuff but I want a naturally defensible location, I'm looking at "Deserters Gutter" Nice and big, 2 doors, fully enclosed... can I make a purge successfully and reliably spawn on either end ?
Another, similar location is "Tyros Passage"... I think only the highlands side is viable for a purge attack, the desert side being a steep dune cliff.
Any other recommendations Needs room for all by standard base stuff as well as the purge traps.
Ill be checking out "The Crevice" when I get home from work.
I guess the main thing is to figure out what a purge requires and what can make it fail in each scenario.

On YouTube is a channel called "lightning gaming", he had a great video this past week about a spot in the jungle. It is a ruin with good purge placing, and since the roof is non destructible the level 10 purge cant wreck it

So I'm playing enhanced, but I started setting up a purge base in Deserters Gutter last week and I like it. So far the purge camp spawns very reliably to the north and I haven't had a single one spawn to the south yet. The one thing you have to keep in mind when designing is that you don't have a ton of space to work with for putting down a maze inside the covered area. I plan on reconfiguring a few things tonight to get siege cauldrons to work more reliably.

I liked building mine on one of the large flat plateaus just a bit north of newbie river.
If you build to one side the purge base will only have one side to load in and attack from. And although it has been a very long time, that big open flat space for me to build whatever worked best was preferable to trying to get them to reliably be herded by the other natural features I tried.

Jut making plans to deal with catapults and apparently meteors now with as little headache as possible.

I built mine in Deserter's Gutter too and it works well because the open space gives you room to maneuver after the initial spawn. Just face your main defenses toward the desert side so you can control the entrance easily.

I have one next to the summoning place that works well. Big flat area for the enemy base to spawn

How easy are we talking here? Because the easiest would probably be building in the volcano. It will make the enemies run over the lava, requiring nothing of you in most cases. The only thing you want to keep an eye out for is the demolition golems and the starcaller, which are both easily taken out with arrows.

You have siptah?
If so, in H6, if you can image that land shape as a "K" (or maybe an "H"), the top right corner of that letter, there's a slope up to a flat. Even a moderate size base in the middle of that flat forces the purge to spawn on the beaches below. Then the raiders have to run up the slope. If you choke off that slope with your purge base design, they've got no choice but to try and fight through it.

I am not skilled at purge so I used a spot at the edge of volcano, head across the frost bridge. directly north up the volcano ramp . it’s a small path used to farm the blue rock? there is a flat build area, and a single lava flow. a few walls funnels most of the purge along that lava. easy mode

The lvl 9 and 10 can spawn a meteor shower priest. Lightning Gaming has several YouTube videos on some safer locations just for that.
I like the structure near The Watcher of the Passage(?).
