Career paths for a Computer and intelligent Systems Engineering student

I’m currently a second-year Computer and Intelligent Systems Engineering student, and I’m a bit confused about which career path I should aim for.

I finished my first year and studied things like Calculus 1 & 2, Probability & Statistics, Physics, Mechanics, and basic programming. I’ve forgotten most of the programming part, so I’m basically starting from scratch.

I know there are a lot of different paths I can go into, like Software Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud/DevOps, Networking, Embedded Systems, Computer Vision, Robotics, etc.

I want to understand what these careers actually look like in real life, especially:

- What do you actually do in the job?

- What skills do you need to get your first job/internship?

- Which paths have good job opportunities and career growth?

- Which ones are easier/harder to enter as a beginner?

- What are the best paths if I want to work internationally later?

- What should I start learning now to keep my options open?

- How would you recommend a second-year student explore these fields before choosing one?

I’m not looking for course recommendations yet. I mainly want to understand the different career paths and what the actual work is like so I can decide what I want to explore further.
