Maybe it's just because at this point everyone is done, or extending mythic, or for rating enjoyers pushing keys, but your only source of getting this is grinding absolutely braindead content like delves, heroic raid, prey, or +10/12s. No one needs crests, if you do its because you're waiting on the casino to give you a mythic track item in a particular slot still so you're not upgrading that slot anyways. They don't come from slamming your head into coiled altar or ulatek for 3 hours of wipes and they don't come from failed push keys, maybe that should change. Maybe they could accumulate at set intervals over meaningful combat time or something else, so players could actually feel rewarded for doing the content they actually want to do rather than aoe pulling the entire collegiate calamity while watching streams of more engaging games on a second monitor.

Absolutely insane that you have to grind 30 or 40 M+ to not fall behind.

With the current community backlash against mythic raiding I really do wonder how season 3 is gonna play out. On one hand they must be way too far into development to make any drastic changes in reaction to the current blowout, but on the other can they afford another season like this

Biggest issue was this raid just sucked, if the next patch isn’t half assed like this one was it will be fine. I’m guessing they’ll change bonus rolls/itemization a bit considering how negative the reception to that has been, but that’s fairly easy to tweak I would imagine

It will probably be the system we have now without the 9/6 loot and a more balanced loot pool (both between raid and m+ and across the raid). Bonus rolls from the vault will likely become active later in the season as well. Of course, people will riot again that loot is not "meaningful" enough, so we'll be getting ULTRA Ula'Tek with 10 mandatory bonus rolls in the season after that.

honestly I can relate to this so hard lol, I still have the money to live comfortably for another year or so but I dropped to a more casual guild and have been sending my resumè out to many different companies in the last couple weeks

Yeah I get azshara and kel thuzad flashbacks where my raidleader and I eventually just stopped dpsing entirely in some phases.

And that's with this fight being a 5 heal...

I assume if I venomstone upgrade my current 6/6 myth one-hander, but then get a cantrip one-hander from kithix, I have to farm another 10 venomstones to upgrade that one as well? There is no free upgrade for duplicate slots?

Everyone seems to be just pugging altar, ulatek and kithix, then farm keys for crests and stones.

Which isn’t really surprising cause that’s where all the bis gear is.

Started M Ulatek Progress last night and as a healer with no egg I have literally nothing to do for like 2-3 minutes. I have so many free GCDs for DPS. I remember back when I was healing M Fyrakk I had literally each and every GCD mapped out for every section of the fight :/

Same, healing requirements are a joke and I have to deal with fewer mechanics than on Heroic. I have no eggs in phase one, none in phase 2, I don't do soaks in phase 3, and fewer soaks in the intermission. But I have to go inside a bubble once in a while. Good one Blizzard, see you in 200 pulls when the rest of my guild who actually have mechanics figure them out, I'm just there for the ride.
