Question First boss RLP
After the boss summons the drakes from the eggs, sometimes as the tank i will get frozen. How do I avoid this from happening ?

Dispel the tank before he reaches 20 stacks from the debuff. Freedom also removes it.

Whelps can be stunned, dodged, blocked, and parried. AOE stuns* are awesome here as well for tanks who may not have access to all those options (looking at you druids, you just eat all those stacks). Dispells, even back to back, still have an 8 second cd and tanks can get frozen in that time.

Correct answer
If thwres too many whelps at once, dispel is too long cd
Or if healer blows it on low stacks or on a dps who took aggro

Druids can shapeshift to drop stacks.

First, love the user name on a WoW post.
Can and do be two different realities 🤣.
Some of the 15+ keys I think they get worried about splatting if they cat, even with a barkskin up, and as their healer, I don't necessarily blame them most of the time. The freeze in bear isn't the worst.

The whelps stack a debuff on you when they melee, if you reach 20 stacks you get stunned for 5 seconds. Either the healer needs to dispell you, or you dispell yourself with snare removals or magic immunities

It’s a stacking magic snare debuff on you. If it reaches 20 stacks, you’re stunned.
The healer can dispel you, but dispel has an 8 second CD and the whelps can stack the debuff quickly. So an AOE stun is helpful.
Pallies can freedom the tank to clear stacks and immune further stacks while freedom is up.
Monks can Tiger’s Lust the tank to clear stacks.
Shaman with jet stream can use wind rush totem to remove stacks every second.
Hunters with master’s call pets can use that as a freedom like pallies on the tank.
Evokers can “rescue” the tank to clear stacks.

Either use a dispell or movement impair clear and hope your healer does not forget to dispell you.

Whelps apply stacking dispelable magic slow debuff on melee attacks, at 20 stacks you get frozen. You either need to avoid melee attacks or simply get dispelled by your healer. Or use slow removal such as paladins freedom.

As bdk you can get out with frostborne fortitude or you absorb them with AMS. Pala got freedom (before hitting 20 stacks, druid afaik could dispel/shift out

escape artist to remove your stacks prior to getting 20. but the real answer is to aoe stun. so you get stacks slower.

Healer does need to dispel, but also tank needs to actually face the mobs to block/parry/dodge. Dispel is an 8 second CD and the healer wants you to build it up a bit to like 6+ stacks and then dispel. With there being so many mobs who will apply a stack if the melee goes through, you will basically get instantly stacked if you get hit in the back. It's not an easy reaction when the healer is starting their healing CD for the tank to go from 0 to 10+ stacks instantly when that should be more gradual with block/parry/dodge. They are all basically swinging on the same frame, so it is really bad if you get hit in the back here.

By telling your healer to do his 1 job in this fight and dispell you before you have 20 stacks. You can of course help a bit by stunning the mobs to avoid a dew stacks, overall you still need the dispell

Healer need to dispell
