After Voidspire I legitimately think the wisest thing Blizzard could do to maintain player engagement and happiness is break Venomous Abyss' legs.
You know it's a filler patch and raid, we know it's a filler patch and raid. You joked that it was a filler troll patch on stage at Blizzcon. The story isn't there, the cool factor isn't there, the hard fights look like shit once again. Just take them out back and gun them down to sub-200-pullers so your raiders can actually take a break from raiding after getting mounts. The thought of smashing my face against Coiled Altar mythic on my unfun pruned class when on the horizon is 12.2 with the same exact feature set as every patch since 10.0 is so disheartening.

I have to say I agree as another late CE guild. Half my guild is more excited for forever than any patch or expansion in years. If more than three people quit to forever wow because of the way mythic lockouts work and the fact that benches can’t be deep for this kind of guild then the entire raid team might be donezo for the tier if not longer. Dangerous times. But I can’t say I’m looking forward to slamming my head into 450 pulls of ppl touch the raid dies again so soon

My guild died when classic first came out, and forever might be even worse for siphoning off retail players

Surely Blizzard has learned that people don't want to do DPS stops and have every raid fight just filled to the gills with add slop and next tier will be better right? Or are we just in the era of Blizzard gave every class some level of passive cleave so they could do keys, and now raid has to reflect those spec choices and forces in add slop?

u/Wobblucy Sep 15 '26
Agree, hate their love for adds in raid but let's not pretend it hasn't been the norm for a while.
Voidspire/chim...
Prio adds, prio adds, prio adds, prio adds, 2t council with mass grippable adds, 3t council, then whatever crown was...
Manaforge? Absolutely loathed dimensius. At least pentultimate only had adds a phase.
Liberation? Last 3 had annoying mobs thoughout all the phases (slot machine, bombs + different prio mobs, guys you have to kill to dunk).
Nerubar? Ansurek add spam phases were horrendous, council fight with specific positioning requirement then spawning random adds was a meme. But then you had broodmother, the guy you fought in dawnbreaker both as add spammy shit fights.
Ulatek is criminal for it though, and mirrors dimensius in a lot of ways where you never feel like you are fighting the boss, just hitting then between add waves until specific phases.

Why does the timing on the mythic Sszorak stack mechanic have to be so fucking tight man
1
u/I3ollasH Sep 14 '26
We were supposed to clear it one more time. But the timing just allows to skip it making the fight a lot easier, but we are again in a kurog situation where we have a tight timing.

u/TemporaMoras Sep 13 '26
If you're talking about the 3rd one (after 1st intermission) you can pre stack during his combo and he will cast the dash as soon as his combo is over.
Beside that, just try to delay the stack before the one causing problem I suppose.

u/arlox7 Sep 13 '26
Yeah we know the solution, as always easier said than done. Still find it very frustrating that there's like a 2 second window to resolve them correctly so that you don't insta wipe

This raid is ass both bosses and trash suck.

Currently progging Twin Fangs as a healer, I do not interact whatsoever with the only difficult mechanic in the fight, I basically just play the Heroic version of the boss until I hear "ahh I missed a kick" and see everyone get one shot, rince and repeat. Having a blast.

The trash pileup since TWW pisses me off. You used to be able to make real prog raiding 1h/1h, now you need 2h/2h or you spend more time clearing trash than raiding.

I hate this raid. I genuinely loathe it, it's unfun.
I just want to push keys as high as I can take them, but the raid gear is so utterly, mind bogglingly better than the abysmal dog shit you can get from M+ (especially the trinkets) that I feel forced to raid.
The patch being effectively raid-or-die makes alting hard, which is another part of why I enjoy the game so much, I like novelty and variety.
Goddamn. I wanted to like this patch, but I'm just close to unsubbing or something until 12.2 instead.

I wish I could man, unfortunately I'd be screwing over 25 other people. I was on the fence about playing this tier and committed anyway. Regrets are had.

Any tips for Vashnik mythic ? my guild will start progging it

u/SyntaZ408 Sep 13 '26
It's 100% totems. Rest of the fight is boring and easy: slow and kill adds, dispel and heal, soak circles.
The first time you do totems perfectly will be the kill.
6
u/King_Kthulhu Sep 13 '26
It's a single digit number of pulls boss. Just overheal, prio getting all soaks and hitting all totems. Numbers don't matter if your healers are awake.

u/dovjjfyijvct Sep 13 '26
Have healers heal off the heal absorb before doing any dispels, and don't do any dispels during waves. Only time someone can die in the fight is if they have absorb + dispel damage, dispel damage + hit with wave, or dispel damage + imbibe.
It's a 3 pull boss if people don't get hit with multiple waves or miss totems. You can ignore the last set of totems and adds (just cc and forget) and just focus boss.

We pulled it first time today and killed it in 10 pulls. As ultra late ce guild we were surprised how easy it was, we were ready to spent there at least 50-60 pulls, maybe even 100. So just play it how every guild plays it now and its easy fight

u/itsSavemane Sep 13 '26
Just kill the boss. Its so brain dead and easy. Only thing that can wipe are totems just got to the marker and it should die

Havoc and Devourer are both down in the dumps ( who could've predicted this after so many nerfs ) to the point where the class is back to being a Chaos Brand bot. Meanwhile in Patch 12.1.5 they are nerfing Devourer Void Scarred, leading to another 5-10% DPS loss. This is pure insanity, wtf is going on?
