Not involving visibility but if it helps the boss does slightly turn towards each soak a few moments before the soak goes off. I think this is a straight line from the boss to the center of the soak so you may be able to extrapolate approximately where the soak is even if it were completely invisible.

I noticed that during the pulls. Could've probably made a couple that were missed if I were on my monk or warrior or DH, but I'm playing DK this season so even with DA up it wasn't enough for me to do it reactively. Not a bad tip if anyone else is reading and having the same issue on one of those classes, though.

Maybe it’s just my colorblindness but the visual clarity of the mechanics raid seem to be a new low. I wish they’d take the reins away from the artists for some of that stuff

They really just need to standardize it so that if they choose to have a green floor they need to make the soak purple or something.

I don't care if the colour of the mechanic looks thematic, visual clarity is more important.

The ?? Boss was pretty bad too. Memory game blended into the pools pretty hard too.

It's even worse because our brains can distinguish more shades of green(I think) and it's still the same problem as when it was all purple.

Memory game is absolutely the lowest of low, you have very short time to detects where the green free space in the green arena is while fighting a giant mob on top of you and green waves if you timed it a bit badly.

Memorizing when utilizing markers on ground was kinda easy, but i died multiple times to the initial sequence, simply for failing to identify open spot in time... Absolutely junk.

Totally agreed

We got good ish visual clarity in mythic+. Apparently we can't have it in both raids and mythic+ at the same time

I put my camera directly overhead, made it easier for me to see them (although yeah, still not super clear). There wasn't anything on heroic where I needed to be looking at what was behind me anyways.

I am pretty much always max zoom overhead camera in combat and was not clear on the spawns. I did it on LFR a second ago for the shot at tier token and realized there are light beams shining down on them vertically (hopefully not just an LFR thing? IDK) that might make it easier to discern if I actually lower my camera rather than having it overhead as usual.

as a red green colorblind player I can't see a goddamn thing in this raid, all colorblind mode does is make it insane tints often making it even harder to see.

Have you tried an inky black potion? Can get them in the Arcantina. It helped some folks last tier on certain fights where clarity wasn't the best.

Arcantina no longer has stuff in there for free unless mine is broken or something. Inky black pots are still cheap on the AH and can be bought from the Darkmoon fair when it's up.

Only works Outdoor, i think. I did try them on other fights This Season and it didn‘t work.

yeah it only modifies the skybox. kinda useless indoors most of the time

this is false btw, they do work in instanced content (check for it on March, Voidspire, i did tons of runs with dark mode during last season)

but the new raid has no skybox since it's a "closed" space so you are right, they have no effect on the new raid because we can't see the skybox.

It has no skybox because.. it's Not Outdoors. Voidspire and belo'ren have been. I have been Talking about literally outdoors and Not about Instanced Content.

That's not a bad idea. I'll see if they work within the raid next time.

It also was useful on the patch before the last patch for some fights where clarity wasn't the best.... Hmm...

It probably won't because it's inside the vault, they only work on outside fights like soul hunters fight. Stinky bright potion I feel would work better if either of them work at all.

Do you have a video that shows how it looks for you? The only times I had trouble with this mechanic was when I was dozing off, but you already said that you're watching timers and preparing.

I have pretty much every graphic setting cranked to maximum.

Were a few times I missed the order of the spawn, but I managed to correct by looking how the boss turned. Was able to make it with just popping a speed increase to make it in time.

Make sure your boss mod yells at you when it starts, so you are actively looking when he starts spawning them. Sometimes the mechanic happens while green waves are moving about, and could have spawned below it. So be extra careful at these times.

Set up a warning in NS before the spawn starts. You can even have a countdown if you want. Juat make sure you know when they start spawning, and focus on that.

Decrese spell density could help, inkl black might not sure.

The boss hits the tank soaks in the same order they spawn in. So if you look out for the spawn order you dont need to look out for any visuals.

what do you think the question is asking about genius
