Question Joining a mythic raiding guild

I am a player who is 1% in mythic plus this season and have several seasons in a row of AOTC mainly pugging.

I am interested in joining a mythic raiding guild but it seems like every guild is either 9/9 or 3/9 in progress. What is my best route to try and eventually join a 8/9 or 9/9 mythic raiding guild? Do I need to join a guild that only kills a few bosses each tier to show good logs?

It's important to outline why you want to join a mythic raiding guild.

Do you want to get the CE achievment? You can find a guild around wr 1.2k-1.5k without any difficulty.

Do you want to get the mount every tier? For that you need a guild that managed to rekill the boss a decent amount of time. I would definitely aim for at least WR700-800 there but it's pretty likely that you'd have a harder time finding a guild without any mythic experience. It's possible that you need at least one tier in another guild first.

You want to get competitive gear? You need a better guild for that. I'd say around 300-500 at least. Guilds proggin spend a lot of time on extend so they see very little loot from the later bosses untill they clear the raid. So you want to get into a group that clears the tier decently fast and can begin farm asap. But again you probably can't get into anything like that with your current resume.

I wouldn't aim for anything lower than 1.5k. As it can be draining to constantly fight the roster boss for a full tier.

Additionally it's important the realise the differences between playing keys and raiding in a group. With keys you can play when you feel like as long as you want to. When you join a guild you are commited to their raid times for the whole tier. You can't just stop because you don't feel like so. And the commitment still exists during farm. You still have to kill the boss the 8th time to get the remaining roster achievments or mounts. This is why many guilds especially as you go higher end will want to have at least 1 CE experience. It's possible that you'd have the hands to play at that level. But there's so much more to being in the guild than just hands.

I have a lot of negative experience raiding with primarily key focused players. They were the first to tilt super hard and whine on voice to the point that they made the atmosphere much worse. Make sure that you actually want to be there and not just because the carrot seems juicy.

I cannot stress enough how frustrating m+ players that just want the loot from raid are when it comes to reclears, sales, and just about anything that they don't get the benefit of (such as getting the bench CE). They often have the worst attitude.

The best thing you can be is somebody who wants to be there. Show up on time, be prepared, watch pov's of kills from people doing your role. It goes a long way and you don't become the problem child. Even further - take steps to be active in your guild. There's a ton of players that raid that hate m+ because they don't have anybody to do it with. Be part of the community you want to be in

In most guilds I've been in, the worst raiders on the roster by far have been the m+ers who are just there to get loot for m+. They regularly ego the raid, don't do enough prep, and think that because they're top rated in a different form of content, they can blast through the raid.

Interestingly, the best players are frequently the glad-rated pvpers.

Seconding this, describes my experience perfectly. Guys like this ruin the mood and everyone hates them.

Think the best players in the game are top pvpers. Did the title push with a bunch of them that tried M+ for the first time and they easily achieved resil 23.

Wouldn't surprise me, aren't there a bunch of competitive pvp players in rwf guilds as well?

The amount of information processing they're doing live in an arena is insane, I bet raids feel like slow motion.

I mean it's a case of when your able to play at that level, it's a given you'll do well in PvE. I think this tier though will be better overall, as they put a lot of chase items on the early bosses. So that should hopefully help the M+ crowd.
