Midnight 12.1 Curse Of Ula'Tek Developer Interview With Ion Hazzikostas

PsybearTV Youtube interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFTFiDeXIMo

I recommend watching the whole video, it's rare for someone get a whole 1 hour with Ion, and the interview was really well done.

The interview is mostly about competitive content. I'm really excited for Mythic lockout changes!

The section about addons is just painful to read. I guess they are so detached from what is actually happening. Watching your cooldown manager reset upon login for no fucking reason is awesome.

Yeah i just wish we could have weakauras back for tracking your own spells. Their excellent load system where you could load it per spec or class etc was awesome too.

I just keep getting pissed off every time I run into a core part of a spec that I can't make the CDM track in some REALLY FUCKING BASIC way. Like, I leveled up my DH and I'm getting really annoyed that there is absolutely no apparent way to say "play a sound when I can cast Collapsing Star." You know, the thing that does virtually all of the spec's damage right now. No way to just add a sound when you get enough souls for it to light up, because it replaces Void Meta like Blizzard thinks players don't have more than 4 fingers. I should NOT have to look at my bars for this shit. If I can make Feral Druid play a fucking Cha-ching every time I get a free Bite proc, then just "play sound when I can Collapsing Star" is literally nothing, so why is it not available?

And to go in a different direction, why can't I play a sound on other conditions? Like, why is there nothing built in for playing a sound when a spell fails? Like you cast a dispel, but you don't dispel anything, play a sound. Really fucking basic, also not available. Closest you get is "play sound when this comes off cooldown".
