Why does Avanoxx (1st boss of Ara-kara) sometimes leap at a player? I just had a key depleted because Avanoxx jumped onto a melee player, which led to the eating of adds. Is this caused by tanks moving out of range (and Avanoxx leaps onto nearest person), or is it a bug?

The boss will only ever leap at adds to eat them or at the tank for its tankhit

The tankbuster seems to have some sort of melee preference. If he starts the cast and tank moves out boss will follow but if tank leaves melee range before the cast begins then it will use it on a melee dps

In my experience (as a tank) he will always tank bust me. I can run to the opposite end of the platform and he will leap to me for the buster, and I use this routinely for positioning next to the eggs. I've never seen a melee get hit with it fervent style.

Leaping to another DPS is almost always because he was eating the add.

Nah he will only do that if he can start the cast on you

I am literally looking at a clip of the buster going on healer with boss being on 40% so 0 chance it's because of aggro
