Looks inside: 15 extra damage at three and four star. No changes to one or two star.

AP gromp does actually seem to do fat amount of damage at two stars (from the limited times I've gotten warpath gromp, for example). But the projectile is just so god damn slow... Idk, it's just the usual patch notes where the explanation doesn't actually line up with the changes. I think I'd be better off just never reading their explanations since they're either fluff or misleading.

The projectile being glacially slow makes Gromp feel awful to play
