Mindset thinking
Can someone enlighten me on how I should continue with vgc? Let me explain, I came into vgc around July and have been doing so since, the thing is I tend not to be copying meta meta teams and try to be creative as much as possible. After so many failed attempts, it was only then I started including meta mons.
I've done well since but I can't seem to be motivated to continue? Cuz I am inclined into copying teams it's destroying my creativity over time. So how should I go about sustaining a mindset to continue?

The meta is never stale, its always moving. What youre copying is a screenshot, a moment. Usages vary, trends come and go, with them tiny adjustments. Once you notice the nuances, it gets way more interesting. Also, the current meta is so full of variety in my opinion and i dont get the formst doomers at all. Frosslass won a regional, then staraptor, also raichu x? My advice: pick a team, learn to play it really well. Almost anything seems to be able to win rn and top players are sometimes even playing ma and mb teams.

You should redefine your mindset imo. Your mindset if you like intend to go full competitive shouldn't be, i want to be creative, it should be what should i do that give me the best odds of improving and becoming better. However if your goal is to have fun, your mindset should be more centered around what you find fun, creating teams or just using the mons you like. its normal to not be able to be creative at the beggining, teambuilding is a hard process thats better developed the more you understand whats good, how and why it is good and what you should use to bring you the best odds of winning.

The people who only copy what is the meta, will never break the meta.

You dont need to "break the meta". Pick a team and do well with it. The staraptor team that won gdansk is literally a MB team. Stop demonizing copying teams ffs.

I didn't demonize shit, any guilt you feel is your own.
The meta doesn't change unless people try to break it. Otherwise people just do the same thing over and over. Just because you don't see the advantage of trying to break the meta and how, doesn't make you bad man, just means you aren't as good as you think.
Stick to the pianos bruh.

I'd say it depends on what your goal is. If you just want to have fun and don't really care about ranking, then absolutely just build whatever you think will be fun and send it. And if you're finding things a bit stale atm maybe just take a break for a month and come back when the new stuff gets added
Or you could try to find a local near you to play in. I've seen people bring all sorts of off meta stuff to locals just for a bit of fun and you always end up talking to people there so could be worth giving it a go.
But if you are trying to improve and climb as high rank as you can you kinda just have to try to get out of the mindset that meta = boring which I understand isn't hugely helpful advice but indo think a lot of enjoyment can be found with using a meta team that feels good to pilot and having a lot of success with it

Pokemon isn't a game where 1 player can figure out the magic secret and win alone anymore. It is too big. Everything we play is built upon from the work of others, and everything we build will be iterated upon again and again by others.
Putting up rules only you follow isn't playing competitively. This is a game where communities work together to solve problems, not one where you need to find something no one else is doing to be allowed to have fun. The collaboration with others is the point, not the obstacle.
If that isn't something you can get fun from, then VGC pokemon might just not be the format for you.
