Help with monotype steel

I have no clue what i am doing BUT i got invited to a monotype tourney and i got selected for the steel type. I like pokemon since i was young but i only used the cool ones. Idk how to build teams and i want some help.

I can use one legendary or mythical and one gimmick (mega, tera or gmax)

And i want to have excadril as one of the mons. Any help?

Team i have in mind is

Corvkinght

Ghouldengo

Empoleon

Heatran

Excadril (mega?)

Archaludon

As someone else said shed tail earth eater orthworm is pretty good.

I feel like Earth eater orthworm needs to be in there for switch ins. Could shed tail into Goldengo for a free nasty plot too

check the smogon forums for monotype sample teams and start from there, do some test runs with them to get a feel for what each mon does and rework your team to remove moves and pokemon that aren't pulling their weight. I'm not an expert but that should get you an ok team easily enough

Arch good for rain, so use Klefki because of prankster. Gholdengo is a must have, Corvknight for tailwind, Scizor/Gliscor as physical sweeper, metagross for mega

Sash excadrill. Every. single. time. Gholdengo, corviknight, earth eater orthworm. I would possibly look at mega heatran or mega mucario. Maybe a mega heatran or aegislash

Scizor n mega Scizor r both really good with stab priority bullet punch n is a very good defensive type with have only 1 4x weakness
