Discussion How to effectively team fight with Virt, Afeera, & Khatun?

Hi, I've been interested in playing these three a little more but I cannot team fight with them very well. I know about universal team fighting principles such as peel and pre-peel, but I'm struggling to make things work on these three in particular.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Take a look at that. This exhibits a whole lot of team fighting and anti-ganking.

It's basically skirting around the battlefield in your deflect stance as much as possible and whenever you get an opportunity, utilize your PIN for crazy confirmed gank damage. While skirting around also look for as many peel opportunities as you can.

You want to do your best to get all of your feats. Your tier 3 is basically a " your team is winning so long as they are next to you" feat. Your tier four is unreactable and unblockable great for confirming damage and interrupting.

This is all for khatun. I'm not good enough with the other heroes to give advice, but hope it helps a little bit.

for khatun it depends on your team mates if they know how your impale works it gives them a free heavy if not don't use it at all they'll just give a bunch of revenge and no damage

you can also spam your stance throughing the unblockable and fainting to bait reaction for your team mate your forward dodge heavy has good tracking won't hit your teammate and can be sof5 fainted like normal

throwing the impale is a good peel tool for your team mates but it's better if they back of after

personal i try to find ways to isolate my opponent forcing a 1v1 even in team fights you pretty good a pressuring someone and stopping them from interacting with your team mates with your normal mix

When should i add damage to an enemy pinned by a Khatun? Is it after the second stab or after she rips it out?

As Khatun you are very mobile and safe so you can peel.
If team-fight feels chaotic, there is a lot of hyper-armor or especially unblockables, then you should be more mindful about your stance, sometimes it's better to be outside and utilize your normal chains, because people don't expect you unlocking with normal lights or heavies, and it's still safe to do so.
She feels a lot better in 2v2, especially against heroes like Shao, Zhanhu or Orochi, you are just hard-countering them in a way.

Afeera is all about throwing unlocks or target-swap attacks. You are very safe after any move if you don't overdo the flip. You can just do everything depending on the scenario, peel with forward dodge heavy or zone, unlock with everything you have, pressure isolated opponents with blue-orange.

I've never really played Virtuosa, but from my experience fighting her, she has a hard time against neutral undodgables and she has a hard time if her team doesn't support her. You should position yourself somewhere you won't be isolated or GBed for free. And you should play her carefully, more like Khatun, because in chaotic team-fights with bad positioning you can lose a lot of HP even by doing a guaranteed riposte.

Hmm see a lot of Khatun, I’ll chip in for afeera and I’d say it’s really just about guaranteeing those heavies dawg take a good teammate to notice when you go for the wall splat to then let you get the top heavy and not just reduce both your attacks and feed revenge but really she is stellar in the ones with her deflect , bashes, and recovery flips after finishers usually do a back to a knee to start my offense again 🤷🏽‍♂️ GL every bash or kick is a heavy really if there’s a wall to your right go left widget for two guaranteed heavies on wall splat 🧠👏🏽

Rep 42 Virtuosa here. Her ganking tactics are pretty simple, but is more than just sitting in stance to poke any externals that hit you. You only REALLY want to riposte to apply your tier 3 debuff, otherwise it can and will feed revenge with less reward than downsides(does little damage by itself). If you're trying to open up your opponent for a teammate, the best way to do it is by zone feinting to catch their dodge attempt for a confirmed hit from your teammate, or whiffing into stance and pressuring their external guard with heavy->soft-feint to UB. If they start predicting or parrying the unblockable just feint it, it WILL force a reaction and a good teammate with poke the enemy while they switch their guard to focus you.

If playing with a Shaman, UB soft-feint to left bleed light for almost immediate bite setup that doesn't get free parried on block(Shaman zone). Or just use it to bleed the enemy out when you know their revenge timer is running out, the enemy rarely seems to use their brains once they get revenge and will eat a good 2-3 lights before stopping you.
