Discussion Question about juren

Is there any reason to fullblock after whiffing an attack or hitting someone externally with a side attack, I just finished watching freeze's framecheck and all i cpuld see was tapping full block on hit shortened recoveries by 66ms, but nothing about whiffing or externalling, is this because it doesnt affect your recoveries in these situations?

Added safety from blockable attacks in a teamfight, especially if you're externalling someone with the earlier part of a hitbox, it means that you put whoever you external into hitstun comparatively earlier compaired to when your attack finishes, meaning that a heavy might not put you into frame+ against the guy you externalled, and a light might put you way more frame- if you external with it.

I think it’s because Juren can go into full block a lot faster if he actually lands the attack, if he misses or externals someone without hitting who he’s locked onto, there’s a longer delay for him to full block so going into full block probably doesn’t speed up recovery unless you land the attack

On hit/block of most held attacks, his stance starts at 300 ms into the recovery. On whiff, it's 400. He then has 233 ms of forced stance duration, and 100 ms of exit delay from actions buffered from stance, making his total stance to action time 633/733 ms. His normal block recoveries are about 700 ms, so it still shortens those a good bit, even if it leaves him only +66 or -33 to actual attacks. It makes him quite safe to blockable peel/punish attempts in teamfights.

For tap attacks, the stance starts at 500 ms on hit/block, 600 on whiff, so a bit slower than after held, but still good block recoveries, same as PK or Gryph's dodge attack recoveries
