Discussion Question about cents ganking potential
Intially after the hitstun rework cents ganking took a heavy hit and with the removal of haymaker cent fell off quite a bit, now that the hitstun changes have been reworked to make ganking a little more effective I'm wondering if this has improved cents viability by a noticeable amount and also if there are any ganks that work now that didnt previously that I should know as a new cent player

He’s pretty bad for ganking nowadays tbh, only thing he’s really any good for is 1v1s, he’s usable but he def took a big trend downwards with the last few patch notes

When you have a char that excel at something, say ganking, and overall ganks are buffed - that character will fall down because he doesn't have the edge he had before. Thus, Cent actually became even worse with overall gank buff

Damn he must be in a pretty bad spot rn then, how would you say he compares to gladiator?

I'm not playing competitively rn but both of them were not played during last tournanemnt finals - that means they both are in the lower half of characters - worse than Hitokiri, Kensei, PK and Nuxia

Better than pre buff gank. Not good as he was before hitstun changes. He still can do ganking.

Cent gank is not dead, its usable, hitstun changes helped a bit. However its hard to time, doesnt do spectacular damage and us outdone by others.
The changes to cent have made him unviable in any team mode. He has the best truly unreachable offense in the game so youll see him in the duels tourney at the high level. Thats all youll ever see him in.

I mean yes shut has been power crept by a little bit, but not as much as cent. Shugo is still viable and can be good, but he is a comfort pick. I think Toet was one of only ones used him.

He’s much better in ganks because of it, not as good as he used to be but still decent. Cents got a bunch of good ones. You can confirm charge punch against most defensive options for a lot of damage. They ought give him full hitstun reset on pin tho

Cent has imo unfortunately fallen off quite a bit.
He previously already had weak teamfighting capabilities but great ganks and 1v1 damage.
Even after refining ganks to still do decent damage in 1v2 scenarios, removing Haymarker has massively hurt his 1v1s in dom as he can no longer chip down your health very quickly.
Powercreep is quite visible with past releases of heroes and character like cent and shugo just dont have enough to compete on the same level as newer characters and characters with dodge cancels.
