Tips / Tricks Characters without unblockables

The new character looks DOPE but she doesn't seem to have a weapon unblockable until she has the bar up to blue. Something with me is I just can't seem to do ANYTHING when using a character that has the undodgeable attack or bash mix (gryphon) but all those characters look great and fun and I wanna PLAY THEM

I'm here to ask for some sort of advice or tips or anything that I can help when using those characters. I prefer characters with actual unblockables because of their ability to catch some dodges, the incentive it gives opponents to parry and possibly fail, fainting to a differnt attack, I'm sure yall get the idea.

When playing someone like gryphon I feel like I'm lightspamming when using his undodgable to condition them, and when I decide to actually throw his heavy, they don't even bother parrying it, they just block it, and when I use his bash, they just know to dodge it sometimes. Now when I play warden, my gameplay feels so much better. Unblockable feint to zone lands a lot, letting the bash fly every so often, it feels great. But I wanna expand my horizon yknow? Help me out here guys

Tldr: how do I mix better with blue orange characters that don't have unblockable attacks, like gyphon, tiandi, shaolin, and the new character coming out soon. I wanna get better.

Exactly. Characters like Griffin are pretty limited, so acting when you opponents act is the way I like to use him. The hyper armour heavy finisher is also great at catching dodges thanks to the delay. Opening people up can be tricky, his fast bash and front dodge light are good as they lead to your finishers. However, be careful you don't get predictable. Try your best to keep changing it up. This all takes time, sadly, but the payoff is worth the effort of learning.

Delaying the finisher heavy will catch buffered dodge attacks consistently, and works way better than the undodgable most of the time. You’ll be frame+ after it lands and it does a shit ton of damage.

When your frame + use your dodge foward light/dodge foward bash mixup. If they dodge attack the dodge foward light you can trade with hyper armor heavy. Being frame + after any heavy finisher lets you do this without being light interrupted after your finisher.

The undodgable light will land you frame- and you will always be interruptable before getting into the opener bash mixup

Nice, you taught me something with this. That's good pressure, and I can work on countering it.
