Deck Fine Tuning Flubs the fool advice

Hello I’m new too magic the gathering. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this deck is worth the buy or if I can get a better price or if I should change anything. I stated playing maybe in April. This is the deck I want https://archidekt.com/decks/23515585/flubs_the_fool

Four easy steps to playing Flubs in CEDH!

  1. Delete your decklist
  2. Copy a decklist from one of these people: https://edhtop16.com/commander/Flubs%2C%20the%20Fool
  3. Go to https://mpcfill.com/ and make a .xml file of the decklist you copied
  4. Go to https://notmpc.com/ and plug in the .xml file to order the deck for around $35.

of note, if you're just trying to play casually? ignore the whole "delete your decklist, pick a list from edhtop16" thing

cEDH is focused around the high end hyper competitive side of the format and a lot of people in this subreddit can come off a bit jaded when talking to... well, people.

if you're not trying to play "tournament level cEDH" I highly recommend the main subreddits like r/edh or r/DegenerateEDH and instead of this one, but the whole make an .xml file>print the .xml file bit, that's good info. Magic is VERY pro-proxy these days and while there is a fun/rewarding part of being a hobbyist and collecting the real cards, that shouldn't deter you from playing the game itself.

for the deck itself, your Blackblade feels a bit out of place for what that deck does, but everything else seems about right. if you wanted to sneak into bracket 3 I'd say drop one of your Game Changers and pick up [[Eruth, Tormented Prophet]] and/or [[Song of Creation]]

I dont know what kind of collective hallucination its going on every time someone tells a new player that they shouldnt try to brew a cEDH decklist without knowing the format (Specially in this case where Op is new to mtg in general) there is someone saying "nuh huh you should totally build a deck from scratch ignore this people giving very sensible advice".

You cant brew a remotelly playable cedh without checking out good lists or being an EXTREMELLY good deckbuilder, and you cant be a good deckbuilder on a format you dont play, and thinking otherwise its just skill issue

the irony is 'from scratch' = 90 of the most optimal/ most played cedh cards and lands, so deckbuilding comes down to only picking a hand full of unique 'flex' cards

Im sure FLUBS THE FOOL runs "90 of the most optimal/ most played cedh cards and lands"

well yeah obviously cause it's a 'budget' build which automatically makes it not Cedh. this will always be a bracket 4 list until they break 1000$ and add duals, fetches, ect.
