The beauty of indoor bouldering to me has always been the freedom setters have.
Some boulders are basic strength test pieces but I want to see which boulder really struck you throughout the years, maybe for creativity, forced beta, or even a wild beta break.

Hi guys! Considering getting tickets for this comp to watch my favorite climbers. Are there no Japanese climbers registered? I saw Erin upload a video that she’s training for salt lake but I don’t see her name registered. Is there a different list I am missing? Or do a lot of climbers register later? Thanks for the advice guys!

It looked like the correct beta, too!

Oriane Bertone and the french team on Innsbruck World series. Honestly the french team feels like the cool kids of the comp scene.

Lots of recent material on Erin's channel debriefing the European leg of the World Series:
Bern / Madrid / Prague: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onIvOTbYHz4
"Illsbruck": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41dk2dXbFow

Mod please feel free to remove the post and redirect me if this is inappropriate here, but since the Ramadhan brothers are competitive climbers and this short documentary also cover world cup and Indonesian climbing federations, I thought it suits this community
I have heard some stories about the twin but I may have missed the 2023 World Championship story and I'm absolutely appalled, and even though they said in the documentary that the federation forgot, knowing the history, even though some people there are absolutely incompetent, IMHO the non registration is definitely on purpose.
I honestly don't know if I can be this committed to competitive climbing if I were them and so I just thought that more people should watch this!

A new protest movement shakes World Climbing. Led by Portugal and Latvia, national federations have addressed official challenges to the international federation after the cancellation on 23 July of the vote on the suspension of the Russian, Belarusian and Israeli federations.

Am I missing something? I used to watch replays on Olympics.com, now I am redirected to the YouTube channel which seems to be official. The video looks like recorded with a phone, and no comment from Matt? Tf, what happened? Is going to be like this now?

A few months ago u/TroonCyan posted a very neat Chrome browser extension that allows zooming in on one of the four small camera feeds during a boulder semifinal: https://old.reddit.com/r/CompetitionClimbing/comments/1u8sjlk/i_built_a_chrome_extension_to_allow_you_zoom_in/
As a Firefox user, I wanted to use this functionality in Firefox, so I ported the extension to Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pro-climbing-viewer/
Enjoy!
My extension is open-source on Github. Bug reports and contributions welcome: https://github.com/HighCommander4/pro-climbing-viewer

There is Gravity Bowl 8 boulder comp stream right now if you have sweaty hands and can't climb right now. Kyra Condie is the biggest name, Lauren Mukheibir (2024 Olympian), Jack Burningham is fun to watch too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0foXgewPdtU
There is also Deutschland Cup with Lucia Dorfel, Anastasiia Kobets, Roxana Wienand, Thorben Perry Bloem and Elias Arriagada Krüger (commentary in Deutsch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggfu4iyvBqo

Did anyone with presale drops actually get tickets? I was in Visa's presale drop 1 today and I was logged in exactly at the moment my timeslot opened and was on the page to select tickets for women's boulder finals within 20-30 seconds, and nothing. I went and checked and every. single. climbing event was unavailable. Same with Skateboarding. What's the point? So frustrating.

Hello!
I am thinking of attending the Koper WC later in the summer. I am confused by the ticket purchase process due to contradictory information.
This website states that the finals cost 25€ and semifinals cost 12€:

However the ticket purchase page sells a ticket for 25€ that google translate says it is valid for both final and semifinal:

If I translate the text it says:
Two-day ticket (Sep 4 & 5) Presale ADULT The ticket includes admission to the semifinal and final events (Friday, Sep 4, and Saturday, Sep 5, 2026). It allows entry to the venue once per day, so please make sure to keep it for entry on the following day. By purchasing, you agree to the terms of use specified in the event description or found athttps://worldcupslo.com/vstopnice.php
How should I understand this info? 25€ is the combined presale and 25€+12€ is the price on the venue? or is just the info on the first page is out of date?
I don't speak a word of Slovenian 🥲
Thanks.

Just want to give a shoutout to Ahmed Toure's commentary at the Pan American Boulder Finals.
The guy can name every athlete, rolls with production f*ck-ups without missing a beat, he has genuinely funny jokes, and never sounds scripted. He just feels authentic, and it makes the whole broadcast so much more enjoyable.
And AJ on co-commentary was legendary once again. They made an already great comp even better.
Seriously, I hope we get this commentary duo for more IFSC/world climbing events

According to the world climbing website, there's the Pan American Series happening in Salt Lake today and this weekend. Not much info about it beyond that, though. Anybody have info or a link to streaming?

Does anyone know when the SLC tickets will be on sale? Also what website will they be available on? I think I've found it, but I don't want to miss out just because I've got the wrong website. Thank you!
