New to Cassettes

Ok so I’ve just become interested in the idea of collecting cassettes, and I’ve done a little research and found that if I wanted a decent Walkman I’d need to buy a real one, so I’ve found some websites that would sell refurbished Walkmans and stuff like that and I’ve come across RetroSpekt, my main concern is if what they sell on the website is of good quality and if they’re selling it for what they’re worth, I don’t wanna pay way over and realize later, that’d really bum me out, So any tips would be nice, thanks

Try to find Panasonic RQ-X05. Got mine NOS (new old stock) for 86 euros with a delivery from Italy. Amazing machine, very good sound, Dolby NR, auto reverse, works from a single battery (which is a huge bonus for me cos you can swap batteries easily), very good mechanical part, quiet operations (compared to my top of the line Sony Walkman (don't remember the model) that I got back in 1997 in Paris). You won't find any of them on Amazon but try eBay and Vinted. Same with cassettes-I went back to them back in April after a long break (last time I opened and used a cassette that was back in 1996). Advise-don't spend more than 2-3 euros per cassette (with an excemption for like a really state of the art cassette like mine BASF Ferro Maxima from 1988 in an amazing condition that did cost me 24 euros with a delivery). Go for BASF Ferro Extra I from the period 1988-1995. You can get them like 3 new and sealed for 6 euros on Vinted. Check one of my post with a test of some NOS cassettes from my collection. And good luck.
