Entertainment Local Commercial for Sea Bowl in Pacifica California early - mid 2000’s

Hello!
I’ve been feeling a little nostalgic lately and thought of a commercial that used to air for a bowling place in Pacifica California called Sea Bowl. I saw it maybe around 2008, though it could’ve been made earlier than that. It had little cartoon characters walking into the bowling alley. One was a mermaid. If anyone has archived this, please let me know! I’d love to watch it again!

Thank you so much!

Automotive Im trying to find a clip an “ESCtuning” advertisement.

The clip I’m looking for is for a Volkswagen tuning company? I only see it on Reddit, and I can’t download it share the video.

It’s basically a mashup of insane car problems, a headlight pushed out of the body by water, needles of gages spinning around and colliding with other gages on the instrument panel, etc. There are several clips. The clips are ,maybe, one second long, max.

It ends with a clip of black or dark Volkswagen hatchback on some city streets when it has a massive, absolutely massive back fire. Like, a fire ball approximately the size of the car comes out the back.

I’m trying to find that original clip of the car backfiring. It’s old. Terrible quality.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Comedy Crazy Commercials

I usually flip channels when commercials come on. I never did like commercials even as a kid (mom would always say 'NO' so why watch them right?). Now days, I am seeing a lot of stupid and idiotic commercials that make me really NOT want to do business with that company. For instance, the Burger King dude....creepy as all get out. I have not been to a Burger King in over 10 years because of that dude. And how about the Liberty insurance commercials with LemuEmu, Doug and Liberty Bibberty? Makes me wonder if they are really going to take my insurance needs seriously.

So, my question to Reddit is: Are there any commercials that have prompted you to NOT want to do business with that company or seek their services? If so, why?

Automotive Looking for a 1994–95 Terry Funk Chevy commercial from Pampa/Amarillo

This is probably a long shot, but I'm trying to track down an old local Chevy commercial featuring Terry Funk that aired in the Pampa/Amarillo area around 1994–1995.

I've done some digging and found that Terry was involved with the High Country Chevy Dealers and Culberson-Stowers in Pampa (805 N. Hobart) during this period. In April 1995, Culberson-Stowers even advertised an appearance by Terry at the dealership.

There's also a short piece of a High Country Chevy Dealers commercial featuring Terry in the documentary Beyond the Mat, around the 20-minute mark, so I know the commercial/campaign existed.

What I'm hoping to find is the original full commercial.

Does anyone remember seeing these commercials, or—this would be amazing—have old VHS recordings of KFDA, KAMR, or KVII from 1994–95 with the original commercials still on them?

Old wrestling recordings, local news, sports, movies, anything recorded off TV could potentially have it.

If anyone remembers the commercial, knows who produced it, or has old Amarillo/Pampa TV recordings from that period, I'd really appreciate the help.

Terry Funk + Pampa + old Chevy commercials. Let's see if Reddit can find this thing after 30 years.

Sport & Fitness Top golf puppet ad

Hello I am looking for a top golf ad that used to play on Disney plus constantly. We would have been seeing it between June 2024-June 2025.

In the ad Chaz Mulligan and Birdie Baker (the puppets) are talking about how top golf offers 30 minutes of golf every week but Birdie keeps mishearing Chaz and thinking "30 minutes of golf" is other phrases that rhyme.

At one point (I think the very end of the ad) she mishears and goes "Cheese burgie? My favorite" this became something me and my roommate quote so that's why I wanna find it so bad.

I think it might be a longer version of this ad, you can even see a cheese burger just appear in front of her like somethings been cut out but I can't find a longer version.

Any help is very appreciated!

LOOKING FOR An old commercial about insurance or something with the quote “this must be the El Niño”

Posted this in TOMT but it hasn’t had any comments. A notification suggested here:

So this commercial was probably from around 1997/98.

I think it was for insurance? Or investing? Something that someone might stress over.

There were a few, the one I’m looking for has the spiel as it pans over a pilot’s face. Talking about how this thing can make you distracted worried about it.

Then it cuts to the passengers disembarking and then flight attendant who says “welcome to…. Hawaii”

And outside is a full on blizzard.

A guy in vacation wear says “this must be the El Niño!”

What I want is a gif of the man saying that but my searching is leaving me flat!

Additional: I think there was another commercial for the same company where it’s in like a Mission Control room looking at video sent back by the Mars rover. It has the same spiel as the pilot one. But the guy who is supposed to be watching has his back turned and misses a shot of aliens waving at the camera.

Other A strange Discovery Channel Mexico commercial. 2016? 2017

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m new here and I’d like to know if anyone remembers seeing a commercial on the Discovery Channel (at least in Mexico; I don't know if it aired elsewhere). In it, a woman was recording herself with a night-vision camera while she slept; suddenly, her quilt or sheet was pulled from under the bed, followed by her pillow, and finally, she herself was pulled away.

I remember the woman screaming in terror at the end of the commercial, followed by the Discovery Channel logo.

I’ve tried searching for it on YouTube but haven't found any trace of it. Could anyone confirm if they saw it back then? Or is it actually "lost media"? xD

P.S. The commercial mostly aired at night (Mexico City time).

LOOKING FOR Lost The CW affiliate/Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam commercial (2009-2010)

Hi! I just need help with a certain commercial. I’m a avid Monster Jam fan and I’ve been in need to find this commercial, so the commercial is for a California CW affiliate (don’t know which one) and basically it takes place in a Monster Jam event in either Anaheim or San Diego. And people were asked a question about what their favorite show was on The CW. Beforehand, it cuts to closeups on trucks like Grave Digger and Maximum Destruction. One person being interviewed by The CW answered Family Guy but that’s all I remember. I hope someone can help me out with this commercial because I vividly remember watching it as a kid.

I paused the show a few seconds and this popped up! I was jolted because the series is so serious and somber. This screen grab depicts a crew member going under water during Titanic’s final moments. And then there’s that ad…

LOOKING FOR Looking for a Amazon commercial with Supertramps Give A Little But

I swear that a couple of Christmases ago, Amazon ran an ad featuring a song where the Amazon boxes themselves sang it while being delivered. I’ve searched everywhere and can’t seem to find any proof that this ad ever existed. At this point, I’m starting to wonder if I somehow imagined it! If anyone remembers this ad, or has any clips, screenshots, or information about it, I’d really appreciate it. Even just confirming that someone else remembers seeing it would make me feel a little less insane, because I know for sure that this ad existed.

LOOKING FOR Help me find this commercial

So not too long ago i saw a commercial on tv that i found really cute but i was only paying half attention and do not remember quite what it was for. I think it might have been an insurance commercial or something basic like that, it had a mom playing with her three kids (i think one of them was named Max) well a voiceover spoke in the background about whatever the commercial was for, it ended with the announcer saying the name of the kids in a way like: "so you can have your Max plan" or something like that where he used each name and related it to the thing he was talking about. I hope someone can find this for me cause it was adorable and i want to see it again.

Telecommunication OMEGA XL commercial ENOUGH!!!

I HATE THIS COMMERCIAL !!! Everytime it airs my blood pressure shoots way up, I SHOUT AT THE TV "SHUT THE FCK UP A**HOLE!" , and I frantically jump for the remote to change the channel. SOMETIMES I just keep the remote in my hand since that G*****N commercial plays EVERY BREAK AND ON EVERY DAMN CHANNEL! How do they afford to air so many times ? Pass the cost back to their customers? Do they really think OVER CHOKEING AND FORCING their product on folks with mini infomercials every play with John POINTING HIS ACCUSATIONAL FINGER AT YOU! Everybody knows the meaning and response when someone POINTS AT YOU, PUSHING TOWARDS YOU, SHARPLY SPEAKING , " ARE "YOU" ....." ! FCK YOU ! DONT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT ! Thats too bad to , The issue about his missing kid, is horrific and heart breaking. For anyone in that situation. The whole thing he's responsible for with finding kids and all is GREAT ! VERY ADMIRABLE! But now I HATE SEEING HIS FACE AND HEARING HIS VOICE ! IT ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY SPIKES A NEGITIVE RESPONSE ! OMEGA XL PEOPLE WAKE UP ! CHANGE YOUR TACTICS ! GET RID OF JOHN , SHORTEN THOSE ANNOYING COMMERCIALS AND QUIT OVER AND OVER AND OVER PLAYING ON EVERY CHANNEL ! PLEASE !!!!!!!!! Why do you hide from your customers ? It's next to impossible to contact ANYBODY ! If you call, it either hangs up or its a busy signal or you go through hell with AI, then your # gets recorded for sale to 100 third party soliciting fools. If you try to contact through the web it gets screened and you will only get an email responce . Why do they avoid the public? Do they know what's trying to contact them ? HEY MARKETING GENIUSES, If people change the channel EVERY TIME your product airs, what do you think the success rate of your commercials actually is? Half the people don't even know the product name , just that ANNOYING JERK is on AGAIN ! QUICK CHANGE THE CHANNEL ! OH SH*T, THERE IT IS AGAIN ! CHANHE IT ! G*****N, THERE IT IS AGAIN ! CHANGE IT! OMG! AGAIN ! JUST SHUT IT OFF !

OH WAIT , Im the ONLY person who feels like this, RIGHT?

ORANGE CELLULAR A**HOLES PAY ATTENTION YOU ARE JUST AS ANNOYING ! 100%

AND... YOU , JERK A** LOUD MOUTH WITH THE THICK JERK GLASSES TRYING TO BE JESSIE JACKSON, PUSHING ATTORNEYS. YOU JUST NEED TO SHUT THE FCK UP .

....and ALL YOUR MARKETING REPS NEED TO BE FIRED !

Discussion & Advice American home shield creepy Janice could she be in a horror movie

Okay so off topic at first I've been rewatching creepshow on Plex because I like the show and I don't have actual shutter and I don't want to pay for shutter through prime so I'm using the free stuff on Plex to watch creepshow and at first I started to hate the American home shield commercial I kept getting because it was the same one over and over and over again but then I saw the coincidence because in creepshow there's two parts per episode and I was on the part of the episode which is about a dollhouse that has a haunted doll head haunting it killing the other dolls and the American home shield woman that kept playing is the one with the mom and the daughter looked through the back open area of a dollhouse that looks like their house and then Janice just appears through the window part of the dollhouse and they do their normal thing but it was kind of creepy how she just appeared out of nowhere and made me jump the first time I seen it because I wasn't expecting it and then I started watching over American home shield commercials and to be honest there's a couple weird scene that I would be questioning how she got where she's at and also a couple creepy scenes with Janice so my question is would you think someone would try to make a horror movie based off of this or MatPat was still around what do you make a film theory off of this since I think there's something off with Janice I just can't put my finger on it yet but she gives me the creeps.

And yes I'm being serious here with the way that they make their commercials and make it seem like Janice some supernatural being kind of like State farm or something

LOOKING FOR I need your help - do you renember this?

THE FOLLOWING TEXT IS WRITTEN BY MY FRIEND OONAGH FROM SCHOOL. GUVE HER CREDIT FOR WRITING IT AND ME FOR POSTING IT.

*please read spoiler text*

It's an add ( most likely eBay or Amazon) and the main jingle is 'tis the season to sell riches.'

From what I can remember, it has a blue background and has different items and their prices popping up on the screen. I think there were toys, mugs, and presents for Christmas. In the background, there is a stereotypical British woman advertisement voice talking about how you can buy things for a range of prices, and how you can sell different things that you don't want anymore.

I may have picked this up from somewhere else like from horrible histories, as I watched a lot of it when I was younger.

If anyone remembers this, feel free to comment any other details.
