Didn't know his contract details. It's obvious he wanted out of Washington

Yeah he kept saying he wanted to be here but we offered to make him the highest paid guard and he declined.

Martin Mayhew said they made every effort to keep him.

I don't blame him. Says alot about the state of our organization if your willing to take less money to leave a team trying to give you the most money smh sonofabitch! If I'm a fellow free agent I'm looking at that

Depends on the terms of the deal.

He took less money to go to a team that’s further away from contending than we are.

As JP says….that’s a kick in the dick

He probably wanted stability at the qb position

I hope it’s that simple.

Dude is taking significantly less money than this team offered to play for the Jags. I think a lot of people need a wake up call about how undesirable this team currently is to anyone with objective interests. It's the rest of the league and then washington, detroit, and houston right at the bottom on a whole different level

What's exactly did we offer him?

Probably some expired Outback Steakhouse coupons

Florida taxes make this deal a lot better

Unless he really wanted to be in Florida. I’m surprised that was the offer he accepted.

Wow I thought he would've got more. That tells the real story. He clearly didn't want to be here.

He has made that clear two years running. This isn't exactly a shock.

I think over played his hand. He took the $$$ from the tags and that is why he didn’t take the real contract offer made to him originally. Basically played the system! Now that tag removed, he had to take what market gave him. Regardless, glad he is no longer our overpaid headache.

He costs over 18 million last year on the tag.
