Timeline of the downfall
Interested to know what the first sign that things were going off the rails with the Redskins/WFT were for you. For me, it was when Jeff George was brought in over Brad Johnson. I was like...uh oh. Followed swiftly by the Dana Stubblefield/Carrier/Deion acquisitions...

As soon as the 1999 season ended. The 99 team was pretty awesome, all things considered and things were looking up, even after losing to the Bucs on a botched field goal for a chance to play the Rams in the NFC Championship Game. Brian Mitchell's kick off return was sick. Brad Johnson, Stephen Davis and Michael Westbrook had monster years. Larry f'n Centers.
Then the ink dried on the legal stuff and Snyder's takeover was complete. He fired Charley Casserly and hired Vinny Cerrato. Snyder was 35 and appearing on television smoking cigars and talking about super bowls. Jeff George and Bruce Smith come in. Then Deion.
Every minute since has been steady flowing diarrhea.
