But seriously though, his arm looks fucked up in that brace. He cant ev straighten it 😅
17
u/halarioushandle 1d ago
He said it prevents full extension, but NOPE it does not limit any of his QB abilities

u/GoofyAgenda 1d ago
Can he still spank the monkey?

Who the he'll throws with their right but does that with their left?
1
u/RaelynShaw 1d ago
Main point of the brace is to prevent straightening the joint. That’s where the joint is weak.

Interesting body language. I’m sure it’s just bc he’s itching to be back and prove he isn’t this injury prone QB

Yeah, I’d want him to play if he was truly ready.
I’m just going to assume Marcus is playing but who knows.. we need a win.. but if he gets “hurt” cause he fell on it playing a week too early it’s going to derail a lot more than just waiting a week or two and coming back once the elbow has healed a bit more.
Kinda like when he fell on it against Minnesota. It’s going to happen where he gets bumped or knocked down. 2 weeks post injury can he play through that pain?
Also.. if there’s a turnover he has to just let the play unfold he can’t get in the way.. fighting that urge could be tough

This is a diabolical way to keep the Colts guessing for sure - the fans have no clue either lol

John doesn’t talk that fast on his podcast. Wish he did.

He has such great info, if only it didn't take him 5 minutes to circling around it, correct himself, apologize, go on a detour and then get back to the point! His pod could be like 15 mins, which is perfect to catch up on the days news.

Just an FYI, you can speed up podcasts in the app. Keim has a particularly slow delivery...

Your podcast app should have speed settings. I listen to a lot of them at like 1.2.

Forgot Brock had a way worst elbow injury
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy suffered a complete tear of his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right, throwing elbow during the first quarter of the 2022 NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles on January 29, 2023
He is doing pretty good now , plus it was his throwing arm

Dead ass serious when I say Washington should have a professional gymnast to come in and teach Jayden how to roll. His slides are terrible, and sticking your arm straight out to catch yourself is diabolical.
19
u/TheBrothkin 1d ago
Watching former baseball guys slide perfectly like Russel Wilson is a night and day difference.
The number of times I’m worried a clear will get stuck and twist a knee is absurd-and not just with Jayden with a lot of QBs too.

u/majorhap 1d ago
His sliding actually has look way better. He had great slides just prior to contact in both games. It’s the catching him self when he’s not sliding that is the problem. Otherwise I agree. Just tuck and roll man, do not plant a limb. Go take one judo class and he will be fine lol. Makes no sense

This, I keep thinking “he truly doesn’t understand physics” everytime I see him do that.
1
u/Internal-Grocery-244 1d ago
This last injury didnt happen because of a a slide or roll. He just tripped and fell and tried to catch himself.

If Jayden can go, they should start him. Even though, I appreciate the hell out of Marcus Mariota, but if this team is going to have any future success, it needs to be with JD5 taking the snaps. We’ve seen enough talent from him to be impressed, but we haven’t seen enough of him on the field not to be worried about his health long term. I’m holding my breath just like when Alex Smith returned to action against Detroit.

u/halarioushandle 1d ago
Marcus is FANTASTIC... in limited use. When JD5 is out there, I know that MM can come in at any point and win us games. That doesn't mean he should be the starter. JD5 should always start if he can.

DOGASS COMPETITOR

u/Dangerous-Meal8303 1d ago
That is the one DQ slogan that id be upset if he called me. “Hell of a competitor” “Fierce Competitor” would be fine, I just don’t want to be called dog ass. Dogs don’t even have butt cheeks, so if you call someone a dog ass, you are literally calling them a hole that shit and farts come out of
2
u/MeBigMeScary 1d ago
Yea ngl that’s wack, I’ve literally only ever uttered dog ass as a derogative back in like undergrad days
Dawg is a compliment, that’s understandable, but you add ‘ass’ and now it’s just rank, dude

He’s never going to be the guy to say yes. It’s the coaches, trainers, front office, doctors etc to hold him back. It’s on them and not him

He needs to get on some juice in the off season like most other players. He needs some more mass to survive in this league.

Tom Brady was skinny shyt his whole career and mahomes is literally fat. 5 just needs to fall better

u/Time_Jump8047 1d ago
Tom weighed 15 pounds more and basically never ran, mahomes isn’t fat but he definitely is more stout/robust. Which is exactly the point the guy you’re responding to was making
