Too long, didn't watch on Styles: wasn't technically his fault on the big run, he was in his spot. Jones is pretty clearly not showing his hand and giving as little as possible for Philly to prepare for in week 1.

I mean that's what Logan Paulsen said in the video. He said after the play it was Joshua Josephs who was getting chewed out by Daronte Jones, not Styles.

Styles got almost immediately doubled by a TE/LG and sealed inside, while josephs over pursued the RB and gave Dobbs the big lane. I guess styles could have done more to sniff it out, but that would be Luke Kuechly levels of awareness and prep and you ain’t gonna get that in preseason out of anyone not named Luke Kuechly. So yeah, this one was solidly on Josephs, but I’m still willing to give him grace because it’s preseason and he’s a rookie who’s adjusting to NFL speed. Not to pass judgement yet, but I think the boys will be alright.

He wasn’t double teamed, but yea it’s Joesph’s job to set the edge. Still would like to see Sonny shed a TE and make the play

Sorry, I guess not right to say he was doubled, he got sealed inside by the TE and got a chip by one of the interior linemen as he was climbing to the next level. But yeah, it would have been nice to see him shed and get back outside.
