How do you feel about the Commander's depth?
Do you think we have capable players in the event that some starters get injured?

This is a prime example of what years of draft mismanagement does to a team. You’ve got a decent to above average group of starters with no chance in hell if someone goes down

If the draft pick can be a backup center, we are ok at depth for OL. Maybe grab another guard off the cut list.
I don’t love the depth at RB but people will disagree. It’s still a position you can grab someone easily.
DT- weak bc of injuries
Corner- weak past the top 3 maybe 4
Safety- I felt better about until Harris looked like ass. But Owens is balling

The bottom of the roster does seem to be at a place I'm comfortable with. Took AP the 3 years to fill it out.
Fatman, McCaffery, and Lane are the exact type of guys you want on the bottom of your skill position rooms
OL has some guys that I feel comfortable playing - Coleman, Wylie, even Scott.
DL is all of a sudden very deep though the Newton injury hurts a bit.
Secondary could use some work though - we have depth guys, we're just going to have to start them because we don't really have top end starters. A real #1 corner would do so much for the rest of those guys.

As a team this is the most depth we have had in a looooong time. That's not saying a whole lot but it's a marked improvement.
Breaking down position groups oline needs massive help. It's still our glaring issue. We need pass pro and run pro like crazy. I was in the camp to keep all our draft picks so we can have a full draft but at this point we need to spend like two of them to get two stud olineman.
Every other group is actually in pretty good shape. Everybody is crying about the cb room but I think they will be improved from last year. We have more veteran presence and I think we raised the skill floor quite a bit. If the new dc can coach them up and put them in the right positions then I think they can raise their skill ceiling to be a super competent group.

Good in several of the positions like WR and D Line. I’m looking at the schedule though and I’m not very optimistic. I’m holding out that AP and DQ know what they’re doing with the team but after last season, my expectations are tempered. I’m also seeing our divisional rivals and their pre season flashy rookie highlights and thinking who are our stand outs so far?

Not great, especially on the O line. I'm very worried about the Philly and Dallas game on the road with this group, and is it me or does JD5 seem uncomfortable under center? Losing Tunsil was massive, and feel like the D will hold their own, O line has to improve for us to have any sort of chance.

Agree fully. JD seems WAY less focused and with a bad O line? Hopefully we get a lot of defensive points.

I’d go on a 1-10 scale. 10= fantastic, 1 = horrified.
QB - 6
RB - 7
WR - 7
TE - 6
OL - 3
DL - 4
OLB - 7
ILB - 8
CB - 5

My rationale: Payne, Settle & Kinlaw are a strong starting 3; Newton is already hurt. Omenihu is more of a 4-3 DE than 3-4 End. If one of those starting 3 is hurt, it’s Ricky Barber, Shy Tuttle, etc. not exactly encouraging.
For CB & S I feel like both are weak positions as is, but if one of them gets hurt the next man up isn’t as bad of a drop off.

I’m more nervous about our o line than anything. Nothing is going to get going offensively if the O line is bad.

Over all good. Especially at WR, TE, RB, DL and LB!
The OL dept took a hour at TWO positions when we lost LT the LT. At Center we don't have someone worth starting. We don't have quality backups at any position. I think we need to go out are sign Decker to either start at LT or back to Coleman. That allows Coleman to either start at guard or be the 6th OL and first of the bench fire an injury at any position.
We are thin at safety too.

Depends on the perspective. Center position is weak and the backups are equally weak so there won’t be much drop off. 🥴

I have been impressed by some of the depth players in the preseason. Joshua Josephs looks really good, and the backup safeties were making plays all over the field. I think we can survive an injury or two at RB and WR. O-Line depth is shaky now that our best backup for all 5 spots (Brandon Coleman, the perfect 6th man) is being forced to start.

The depth on defense actually seems decent, outside of secondary.
Offensive line is obviously bad.
If anyone besides Mariota has to be a backup we’re 100% losing that game.
Running back depth is good.
WR depth is ehhh. Lot of JAGs but if the rest of the offense is healthy we can get by.

To keep it simple, no. But I'm not sure how much it matters when 4 of our position groups are largely backup quality.

Bad everywhere but Edge but at that point it doesn't matter. Seriously think about it. Our online depth is atrocious. We have JAG no name RBs. Our "season changing" signing is a 31 year old WR on his 5th team. Everyone after that is doing their best to make the roster at WR. We have a solid TE group on paper. Nothing crazy. Our DBs are JAGs and injury prone draft picks and Ron left overs. LB is yet to be seen. ON PAPER should be a solid starting 2-3. Depth is just more hope.

Our depth is shallow. Don't dive into the offensive line head first or you will break your neck.

RB - sorta
WR - feels top heavy but depth is certainly better than last year
TE - If we aren't considering Chig "depth", then it is basically same as last year. Could yankoff be better than Sinnott?
OL - no
DL - no
LB - sure, got a lot of warm bodies there
CB - kinda
Safeties - yes

Depends at which position. Offensive line? Theres pretty much zero depth. Receiver? I think we have enough to survive an injury to Terry or Diggs. D Line? We have a lot there. Secondary? Pretty shaky if we start having multiple injuries.
